On the morning of June 14, at the Conference on the Implementation of Human Resource Development Projects and the “Triple Helix” Cooperation Model between the State, Universities, and Enterprises, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the list of 13 universities selected to lead Centers of Excellence and Talent Development in technology across nine fields.

In this list, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) was designated as the institution leading the Center of Excellence and Talent Development in the field of Advanced and Intelligent Transportation Technology and Infrastructure.

The initiative, under Project 347 approved by the Government in February, aims to develop a system of Centers of Excellence and Talent Development by making focused investments in selected universities with established strengths. These universities will serve as nuclei for mobilizing and leveraging domestic and international resources in training, research, and technology transfer in priority technology fields of Industry 4.0.

For each priority technology area, the Government requires the formation of one to two networks of Centers of Excellence and Talent Development. In particular, the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Industry, and Biotechnology must have at least two to three networks established across the North, Central, and South regions.

Each network must be led by a strong university and include at least five other universities as well as participating enterprises. This task is to be completed before July 15.

The list is as follows:

According to the project, each network must implement at least one outstanding program in adaptive training, retraining, or advanced and specialized training. At the same time, each network aims to attract at least 100 distinguished scientists and experts, either overseas Vietnamese or foreign nationals, to participate in teaching and research.
