UTT Works with Chinese Delegation to Promote Cooperation in Transport Education and Research
On 21 September 2026, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) welcomed and held a working session with a joint delegation from the Research Institute of Highway, Ministry of Transport of China, and Guangxi Vocational and Technical College of Communications. The working session focused on exchanging and sharing research results and discussing opportunities for cooperation in education, scientific research, logistics, transport technology and other areas of mutual interest.
Attending the working session, the Chinese delegation included Ms. JIAO Wenwen, Senior Engineer; Ms. ZHANG Xuewen, Researcher; Ms. LUO Wenhui, Associate Researcher from the Research Institute of Highway, Ministry of Transport of China; together with Prof. WEI Dongli, Assoc. Prof. ZHOU We and Ms. YANG Jie from Guangxi Vocational and Technical College of Communications.
Representing the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Thanh Huong - Head of the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation; Dr. Vu Trung Hieu - Deputy Head of the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Quang Anh - Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Dynamics; Dr. Hoang Thi Hong Le - Dean of the Faculty of Transport Economics, together with representatives of the University’s leadership and interested lecturers.
Overview of the working session between UTT and the Chinese delegation
Welcoming the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Thanh Huong emphasized that the visit and working session provided an opportunity for the parties to strengthen knowledge sharing, apply research results and promote practical cooperation in human resource training in logistics and new energy vehicles between Vietnamese and Chinese institutions.
At the programme, representatives of the Chinese delegation shared information and research results and exchanged views with UTT on several issues of mutual interest. Discussions focused on logistics development strategies and planning; intelligent vehicle technology and intelligent driving assistance systems; cooperation on intergovernmental science and technology projects; opportunities for coordination within the APEC framework and cooperation with international organizations.

In the field of logistics, the two sides paid particular attention to the development of road transport, multimodal transport, digital transformation, green logistics and opportunities for cooperation in developing logistics corridors connecting Vietnam and China. The delegation also discussed directions for preparing proposals for science and technology cooperation in the coming period.
The visit was part of an exchange programme aimed at promoting the sharing and application of research results in the transport sector between China and Vietnam, while expanding cooperation in logistics human resource training and scientific research.

At the conclusion of the programme, representatives of UTT and the Chinese delegation exchanged gifts and took commemorative photos. The discussions at the working session provide a foundation for the parties to continue exploring appropriate areas of cooperation and strengthen connections between Vietnamese and Chinese education and research institutions in transport, logistics, science and technology.
