Through pilot models, the project aims to establish scientific and practical foundations for proposing roadmaps, technical solutions, and policy recommendations to support Hanoi in scaling up and developing a sustainable urban transport system in the coming years.
2	Research on the Design, Experimental Manufacturing of Equipment, and Emission Reduction Assessment for Diesel Engines Using Scrubber Technology	DT203053	Tran Trong Tuan	Jan 2020 – Mar 2021	Ministry of Transport	Design and manufacture a scrubber device installed on the exhaust line of marine diesel engines to reduce harmful pollutants in engine exhaust gases. The project’s outputs serve training, scientific research, and experimental activities related to exhaust gas treatment of internal combustion engines in general and diesel engines in particular.
3	Research on Developing Criteria for Assessing the Quality of Human Resources in Vietnam’s Logistics Sector in the Context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution	DT203001	Dinh Quang Toan			The project produced a final report and published research results in two scientific journal articles with ISSN indexation.
4	Research on the Application of Extended Economic Evaluation Methods to Assess the Socio-Economic Impacts of Infrastructure Development Projects – Application to the North–South High-Speed Railway Project	DT203022	Truong Thi My Thanh	Jan 2020 – Mar 2021	Ministry of Transport	The project produced a final report and a draft guideline for socio-economic impact assessment of infrastructure development projects, applied to the North–South high-speed railway project. The research was also used as a chapter in the book “Frontiers in High-Speed Rail Development” (Asian Development Bank, Tokyo, Japan, 2021).
5	Research on Proposing Appropriate Methods for Determining Capacity Reduction Coefficients in Line with the Operational Capacity of Railway Lines in Vietnam	DT203023	Le Thu Sao	Jan 2020 – Mar 2021	Ministry of Transport	The project developed software to determine capacity reduction coefficients for several sections of the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City railway line, including functions for: • Infrastructure database management (stations, tracks, rolling stock, locomotives, train sets, sections, and line capacities); • Management of operational time factors for saturated timetable plotting; • Drawing saturated freight train timetables and inserting higher-priority trains to determine capacity loss; • Exporting results to Excel or visualizing timetables directly within the software.

7	Research on Methods for Calculating Load Effects of Train Sets on High-Speed Railways Using Theoretical Models Combined with Numerical and Experimental Methods	DT203013	Nguyen Van Dang	Jan 2020 – Mar 2021	Ministry of Transport	To develop theoretical and numerical models analyzing dynamic interaction between trains and high-speed railway bridges in order to evaluate static and dynamic responses. Results are validated through finite element methods and experimental data published internationally.
