University of Transport Technology Signs Cooperation Agreement with VinFast to Develop High-Quality Human Resources for the Electric Vehicle Industry
On 23 June 2026, at the VinFast Hai Phong Manufacturing Complex, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VinFast Trading and Production Joint Stock Company. The event marks a new milestone in the partnership between the University and the enterprise, aiming to develop high-quality human resources to meet the demands of Vietnam's automotive and electric vehicle industries.
Attending the event, on behalf of the University, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem – Permanent Vice Rector; Dr. Ngo Quoc Trinh – Head of the Academic Affairs Office; Dr. Nguyen Quang Anh – Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Dynamics; and M.A. Nguyen Thanh Nam – Head of the Automotive Division. On behalf of VinFast, there were representatives from the company's professional divisions, product development, quality control, and human resources departments.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed a number of specific areas of cooperation. VinFast expressed its desire to contribute to and update training curricula in line with emerging technological trends; assign experts to participate in teaching and sharing practical experience; and jointly organize specialized seminars, workshops, technology innovation competitions, and academic activities for lecturers and students.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in scientific research and the development of technological solutions for the automotive and electric vehicle industries in the future. The close integration between education and industry needs is expected to enhance the quality of human resources and meet the development requirements of the sector.

One area of particular interest to both parties is the expansion of internship, enterprise immersion, and student recruitment programs. VinFast will create opportunities for students to participate in real-world projects, gain access to advanced technologies, and potentially become full-time employees after completing their internships.
Through these cooperative activities, students of the University of Transport Technology will have the opportunity to access a modern manufacturing environment and directly experience the research, development, and production processes of electric vehicles in accordance with international standards, thereby enhancing their professional competencies and increasing their employment opportunities after graduation.
Concluding the meeting, representatives of both organizations affirmed that they would soon implement the agreed-upon contents through training programs, scientific research activities, internships, scholarships, and recruitment initiatives. The professional units of both sides will coordinate to develop implementation plans to ensure the effectiveness and practical relevance of the cooperation activities.
