UTT Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Global Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center (GSTIKC) of China
On May 8, 2026, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held an online signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Global Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center (GSTIKC) of China. The event marked a new milestone in UTT’s international cooperation activities, contributing to the expansion of academic connections, scientific research collaboration, and the development of high-quality human resources in the field of sustainable transportation.

Attending the program on behalf of GSTIKC were Mr. Liu Peng – Director General of GSTIKC; Mr. Xie Hui – Deputy Director General of GSTIKC; Ms. Zhang Cuiting – Head of the International Convention Standards Center; Ms. Chen Xiangyi and Mr. Su Zhou – research experts from the Transport Knowledge Sharing Center.
Representing the University of Transport Technology were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long – Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector; Dr. Tran Thanh An – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Thanh Huong – Head of the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation; Dr. Tran Ngoc Hung – Director of the Institute of Railway and Transport Technology; Dr. Nguyen Long Khanh – Director of the Institute of Training and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Van Dang – Deputy Director of the High-Speed Railway Center; along with representatives from the University’s specialized units.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Liu Peng – Director General of GSTIKC highly appreciated UTT’s development orientation and cooperation potential in the field of transportation, especially in railway systems, intelligent transportation, and sustainable infrastructure development.

Representing UTT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long – Rector of the University emphasized that strengthening international cooperation with global organizations, research institutes, and major partners is one of UTT’s key strategic orientations aimed at improving training quality, scientific research, and international integration.
In his speech at the signing ceremony, Rector Nguyen Hoang Long affirmed that the signing of the MOU marked an important milestone officially connecting the two institutions and laying the foundation for cooperation in knowledge sharing, professional exchange, and innovation in the transportation sector. The University highly appreciated GSTIKC’s role and contributions to promoting transportation modernization, which aligns with UTT’s orientation toward technology-focused and practice-oriented education.
The Rector also noted that the GSTCEP project to be held in Hanoi next month would serve as the first cooperative activity between the two parties, opening the way for a series of future collaborative programs. At the same time, UTT expressed its desire to expand cooperation with GSTIKC in areas such as high-speed railways, intelligent transportation, and green transformation, aiming to develop practical solutions for infrastructure and economic development in Vietnam and the region.

Within the framework of the program, leaders of both parties officially signed the online Memorandum of Understanding, agreeing to promote cooperation in research, training, knowledge sharing, and human resource development related to sustainable transportation.
Through the cooperation agreement, both sides expect to strengthen academic exchanges, expert networking, joint research activities, and expand cooperation opportunities in international projects on intelligent transportation, railways, and sustainable transport infrastructure development.
The signing ceremony further affirmed the prestige, position, and international integration capacity of the University of Transport Technology within the global cooperation network, while opening up many development opportunities for the University’s lecturers, scientists, and students in the coming years.
