Activities of the Japanese business delegation at University of Transport Technology

In two days February 24th and 25th, 2016, the Japanese business delegation including 4 companies: S.S Sangyo; Matsubara; Hashimoto Seisaku; Nayabe visited and worked at the University. This activity is a part of the strategic cooperation between the University and Japanese enterprises in training high-quality human resources to meet the labor market of Japanese firms. Warmly welcoming the delegation were Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong Rector; Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem, Vice Rector; Dr. Ngo Quoc Trinh, Head of ST-IC. At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and agreed on the working mechanism and responsibilities of each party and offer solutions to improve the quality of human resource training to meet the recruitment needs of Japanese businesses.

Then, the two companies S.S Sangyo ; Matsubara interviewed 8 students who was previously sponsored scholarship to study Japanese. The students were appreciated about language ability after 4 months of studying and will be recruited to work in Japan after graduating from college next June.

After that, the delegation attended a practice lesson in an automotive technology classroom and visited university facilities .

In the afternoon, the delegation visited Vinh Yen training facilities and attend seminars on training cooperation and supply of human resources between schools in Vinh Phuc province and Japanese firms held by the University of Transport Technology.

In the morning of February 25th , the delegation greeted Vice Minister of Ministry of Transport, Le Dinh Tho. Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong reported to Deputy Minister that  UTT will cooperate training and supply human resourses for Japanese businesses including: engineering systems , short-term apprentices and traineeships. Japanese Business representatives will support Japanese scholarships and fellowships for the students with excellent academic . On that basis , the University proposes Ministry allow establishing an incorporation to the labor supply as students after graduation for Japanese businesses ; simultaneously; The Univeristy  will also be the focal point for receiving labor after labor expire in Japan to Vietnam to work on .

On behalf of the Ministry, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho congratulated representatives of Japanese businesses on visiting and working in Vietnam in the early spring of 2016. The Deputy Minister praised the initiative of the UTT in business cooperation with Japan enterprises and unanimously agree with the recommendations of the UTT. Deputy Minister suggested the two sides should make enquires about the provisions of cooperation between the two countries; concurrently request Japanese enterprises support and create favorable conditions for the students of the country to study  in Japan, as well as support scholarships, the number of indicators, long-term and short-term training for students to have chances to practice to meet the business requirements. "The Ministry will create all conditions for UTT cooperation with Japanese firms to develop this issue" - Deputy Minister said.

Activities of the Japanese business delegation at the University of Transport Technology in the past two days were a great success , opening up new hope in the field of training and human resource supply for Japanese businesses , facilitating learning and skill improvement in Japan for the graduate students of UTT.
