Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony with Vietnam Association on Aviation Science and Technology

In May 16th, 2017, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) had a meeting and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with the Vietnam Association on Aviation Science and Technology (VAAST).

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of VAAST had Dr. Tran Quang Chau - President, Luong Nguyen Hang Hung - Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Tran Van Kham - Head of Economic Board, Prof. Dr. Pham Cao Thang - Head of Airports Board, Dr. Tran Ngoc Ly - air freight expert; on the side of University of Transport Technology, there were presences of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong - Rector, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of the School Council, Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem - Vice Rector, Dr. Ngo Quoc Trinh - Head of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department,  staffs and officials of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department and In-service Training Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong - Rector of UTT warmly welcomed the delegations of  VAAST to visit and work at UTT. Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Dao Van Dong briefly introduced the history, training activities, retraining activities, scientific research and international cooperation activities of UTT. Besides, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong hopes that the MOU signing ceremony will create a new impetus for cooperation between VAAST and UTT, especially in short-term and long-term training in aviation security, air mechanics, aviation construction, research and transfer of science and technology in the field of airport, aviation services and localization products applied into the aviation industry.

Also at the ceremony, Dr. Tran Quang Chau, President of  VAAST, highly valued UTT in the field of training, scientific research and aviation knowledge. Dr. Tran Quang Chau briefed about the aviation industry and the Vietnam Association on Aviation Science and Technology. He mentioned urgent demands of the aviation sector on high qualified human resources and indicated that  applying technology and science in the aviation industry in Vietnam is not localized much. After the MOU signing ceremony between UTT and VAAST, Dr. Tran Quang Chau believes that the cooperation will gain many achievements and create opportunities to open training courses to satify the demands for high qualified human resources on aviation sector, researching and science and technology transferring in the field of aviation.
