UTT Expands Educational Cooperation with Leading Universities of the Russian Federation
On March 3, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from leading universities of the Russian Federation, with the aim of promoting cooperation in education, training, and scientific research.
Representing UTT were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng – Vice Rector; leaders of various departments and units across the university, along with faculty members who previously studied or conducted research in Russia.
The delegation from the Russian Federation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andreichenko Natalia Vladimirovna – Vice Rector of Ural Federal University (UrFU); Dr. Goryainov Sergey Borisovich – Head of Establishment and Mentoring Division, Samara National Research University; Ms. Filipova Rita Faritovna – Acting Vice Rector of Ufa State University of Science and Technology (UUST); and Ms. Spasskaya Daria Dmitrievna – Administrator of the International Affairs Department, Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU), along with representatives from other Russian universities.
Overview of the working session
During the session, representatives from both sides presented overviews of their institutions’ strengths in education and research and engaged in discussions on key areas of cooperation, including faculty and student exchange; development of joint international training programs; collaboration on scientific research projects; and co-organization of international academic conferences.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm emphasized that in the context of globalization and the rapid advancement of science and technology, cooperation with international universities is a vital strategy to improve training quality, research capacity, and human resource development. In recent years, UTT has always prioritized and actively promoted partnerships with international institutions, especially with prestigious universities in the Russian Federation.

The meeting offered an opportunity for both sides to exchange experiences and explore new directions for collaboration in training, scientific research, and technology transfer. Joint programs involving faculty and student exchanges, co-hosted academic conferences, and collaborative research projects are expected to bring benefits not only to the university but also to the broader development of the transport sector and related fields.

At the conclusion of the working session, representatives from both sides reached a strong consensus on the proposed areas of collaboration and assigned their respective departments to proceed with specific actions to ensure the practical implementation of cooperative activities in the near future.
As part of the program, the Russian university delegation also participated in a seminar with UTT faculty members and students at the university’s main auditorium. The event provided students with valuable information on scholarship programs, study-abroad opportunities, and career orientation in Russia.
