UTT Expands International Scholarship Opportunities through Collaboration with Fulbright Vietnam
As part of its strategic direction to promote internationalization in education and research, on April 22 the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held a working session with representatives of the Fulbright Vietnam Program- one of the most prestigious scholarship initiatives funded by the U.S. Government.
The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng – Vice President of UTT; Dr. Ngô Thị Thanh Hương – Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation; representatives of various university units; lecturers; doctoral candidates; and interested students. Representing the partner side were Ms. Vũ Quỳnh Nga – Director of the Public Affairs Section, U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, and Ms. Huy Thị Hạnh – Program Coordinator of Fulbright Vietnam.
During the session, the two sides discussed potential collaboration in several areas, including training, scientific research, conferences, and academic exchange programs. Fulbright representatives also shared plans to send newly graduated American students to serve as English teaching assistants in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as to offer support in preparing academic applications and connecting international experts to work at UTT.

Particularly noteworthy was the introduction by Ms. Huy Thị Hạnh of the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for the 2026–2027 academic year, designated for doctoral researchers in science and technology in Vietnam. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to conduct research in the United States for 6–10 months, with full financial support covering living expenses, insurance, travel, and more. This is a valuable opportunity for learners to enhance their professional capacity in a leading international academic environment. In addition, UTT learners may also access other relevant scholarship programs such as the Fulbright U.S.–ASEAN Visiting Scholar Program, Fulbright Master’s Fellowship, and the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program (FLTA).
