UTT Works with KAO Vietnam, Expanding Opportunities for Technology Transfer Cooperation in the Transport Sector

On April 9, 2026, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held a meeting and working session with KAO Vietnam Co., Ltd. to exchange, discuss, and explore opportunities for cooperation in research, technology transfer, and the application of science and technology to practical needs in the transport sector.

The meeting took place in an open and collaborative atmosphere, with the participation of representatives from the University’s leadership, specialized units, and KAO Vietnam.

Speaking at the program, representatives of UTT introduced an overview of the University’s development process, strategic orientation, and key strengths in training and research. With the goal of becoming an application-oriented university that closely integrates training, research, and technology transfer, UTT consistently prioritizes expanding partnerships with enterprises to bring scientific and technological products into practice, contributing to socio-economic development.

Representatives of KAO Vietnam presented the NEWLAC technology product – a material solution with potential applications in the transport sector. Through the presentation, both sides held initial discussions on the applicability of the product in transport infrastructure projects, as well as potential cooperation in research, testing, and practical implementation.

Within the program, Dr. Đào Phúc Lâm – Institute of Innovation and Digital Economy, shared a model for transferring scientific and technological products into practical applications in the transport sector, along with implementation experiences at UTT. This was considered an important basis for both sides to further discuss and develop specific cooperation directions in the coming time.

The discussion session was lively, with many exchanges focusing on topics such as linking research with enterprises, piloting and applying products in practice, and coordination mechanisms to effectively promote technology transfer.

The meeting and working session between UTT and KAO Vietnam marks an important initial step in expanding cooperation between the University and enterprises, aiming to bring research outcomes into practical application, enhance training quality, and contribute meaningfully to the development of the transport sector.
