Working with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)

On March 17th, 2016 , head of transport policy and development , United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ( UNESCAP ) , Mr. Peter O'Neil visited and worked with UTT. Working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Van Thach - head of the Traffic Safety Department from Ministry of Transport; Prof.Dr. Dao Van Dong - Rector of UTT; Dr.Vu Ngoc Khiem - Deputy Rector ; Dr. Ngo Quoc Trinh - Head of ST-IC ; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy - Research Specialist , Lecturer of civil engineering faculty. 


UTT work with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)

United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) is one of five regional committees of the United Nations the regional development arm of the United Nations for the Asia-Pacific region. 
This is the economic- social forum, which functions to provide economic - technological - social services for the developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This organization operates under the overall leadership of the Council for Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). 

Mr. Peter O’Neil encourages UTT to participate in this project

At the meeting , Prof.Dr Dao Van Dong was delighted when the UN project on strengthening safety management of the national road traffic of the developing countries are deployed in Vietnam and hope that the collaboration between UNESCAP with Ministry of transport and UTT is effective in helping Vietnam better control traffic conditions , reduce traffic accidents . Prof.Dr. Dao Van Dong asserted UTT will create the most favorable conditions for cooperation with UNESCAP on training , scientific research , the need for human resources so that the research project will be practical and effectively implemented in Vietnam.
