I. GENERAL INTRODUCTION
The Master of Civil Engineering program at the University of Transport Technology is designed with an application-oriented focus, featuring a training duration of 1.5 to 2 years (60 credits). The program concentrates on the spearhead specialization of “Civil and Industrial Engineering”. Objective: To train high-quality human resources (Level 7 of the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework), capable of resolving complex problems within the context of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).
Regarding Knowledge: Learners are equipped with in-depth, contemporary knowledge concerning construction technology, green materials, and advanced management tools. The program places special emphasis on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and digital methods in calculation, design, structural optimization, as well as construction management and project risk. In addition, learners reinforce knowledge regarding law, national defense security, and environmental protection in construction.
Regarding Skills: Learners form solid professional practice skills, achieving proficiency in specialized software serving research and work. The program cultivates the capacity for independent and creative work, along with effective communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills. Particularly, learners will possess foreign language proficiency (minimum Level 4/6) for international integration and the ability to conduct self-research for lifelong professional development.
Job Positions after Graduation: After graduation, Masters of Civil Engineering can assume key positions such as: Key management and technical staff (at construction enterprises, state management agencies, in charge of engineering, technology, and project management); Officials at Project Management Boards (at Civil and Industrial Construction Project Management Boards); Research and Development (R&D) specialists, presiding over or participating in Science & Technology topics/projects, design, manufacturing, and operation groups; Lecturers and researchers (Training and research work at academies, universities, colleges, and specialized research institutes).
