I. GENERAL INTRODUCTION

Knowledge:

The program provides doctoral candidates with an advanced scientific theoretical foundation to solve complex problems arising from practical construction activities and the developmental needs of the construction industry, including:

- Structures with special functions, usage conditions, or exposure to special effects.

- Special loads acting on structures and theoretical/experimental methods for determining such loads (e.g., waves, wind, high-intensity earthquakes).

- Behavior of materials and structures under short-term dynamic loads; analytical methods for structures subjected to special loads.

- Construction technology and engineering of special structures.

- Determination of service life and reliability of special structures.

Skills:

Graduates of the PhD program in Special Structures Engineering gain advanced competence in scientific research methodologies, independent research capability, and innovation in science and technology applied to the construction of special structures.
