Exciting Finale of the “Creativity – Construction Materials Students 2025” Competition towards Green Development
After nearly two months of intense competition, the “Creativity – Construction Materials Students 2025” competition, themed “Cement Concrete for Green Development,” officially concluded on May 31, 2025, with a thrilling and emotionally final round. This year competition was hosted by the University of Transport Technology (UTT), with participation from leading technical universities in the field of construction.
From a total of 33 teams representing six technical training institutions – including the University of Transport Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, University of Transport and Communications, Hanoi Architectural University, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and Thuy Loi University – six outstanding teams were selected to the final round after the preliminary stage.
More than a professional contest, the event provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creative thinking, innovative spirit, and environmental responsibility – core qualities of engineers in the era of sustainable development.

The competition took place in three stages: Practice, Communication, and Final. In the Practical stage, teams conducted research, developed, and tested green concrete products – material solutions that meet technical standards while remaining environmentally friendly. The Communication stage provided an opportunity for ideas to reach the broader community, contributing to raising public awareness of sustainable construction materials. In the Final round, teams presented and defended their products to the Judging Panel, demonstrating professional competence, teamwork skills and technical critical ability. The maximum score for the Final round was 40 out of 100. A team’s final score was calculated by combining their preliminary round score with their final round score.

Teams Competing in the Final Round
At the end of the final round, the HUCE 68 team from Hanoi University of Civil Engineering excelled, winning the Special Prize with a groundbreaking product that clearly demonstrated a green development orientation and strong practical application potential. The First Prize was awarded to the HUMG-LC2 team from Hanoi University of Mining and Geology for their impressive technical solution and persuasive presentation skills. Two Second Prizes went to the UTC3 team from the University of Transport and Communications and the New Step New Things team from Hanoi Architectural University. Meanwhile, the Third Prize was granted to the CH22 team from the University of Transport Technology and the TLU2 team from Thuy Loi University, recognized for their products’ high feasibility and creativity.
