University of Transport Technology participates in the 5th National Startup Festival

On the morning of March 25, 2023, at Hue University, the 5th National Startup Festival for Students (SV_STARTUP) officially commenced. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, along with Central Committee members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, including Lê Trường Lưu, Secretary of the Thừa Thiên Huế Provincial Party Committee; Nguyễn Kim Sơn, Minister of Education and Training; and Nguyễn Chí Dũng, Minister of Planning and Investment. Also present were representatives from the National Assembly, leaders of various ministries, sectors, and Thừa Thiên Huế Province, as well as representatives from universities, high schools, businesses, investors interested in innovative startups, and thousands of students.

The exhibition booth of the UTT competition team served as the venue for project presentations to the judging panel in the project experience area.

SV_STARTUP is a competition for students from educational institutions nationwide. The organizing committee received 508 projects across five categories: Industry and Product Manufacturing; Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries; Education, Tourism, Services, and Finance; Healthcare, Wellness, and Beauty Technology; and Social Impact Business. Notably, the 4th National Startup Festival for Students was previously held at the University of Transport Technology (UTT) in 2022.
As part of the 5th SV_STARTUP event at Hue University, UTT actively participated in various activities, including showcasing its training programs and historical development at its exhibition booth, joining forums, and officially becoming a member of the National Startup and Innovation Center Network for educational institutions. Most notably, the AppKbus project, developed by UTT students, made it to the final round of the competition and won Second Prize overall, further affirming the university's position and its educational philosophy: "Application – Practical Learning – Professional Practice."

The competition team members from the University of Transport Technology delivered their project presentations in the SV_STARTUP Final Round at Hue University.

“AppKbus” project was presented in the Final Round of the 5th SV_STARTUP competition.

The University of Transport Technology  was honored to receive the Second Prize in the "Students with Startup Ideas" competition for the “AppKbus” project. The award was presented by Deputy Minister of Education and Training Ngô Thị Minh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Anh Phương, Director of Hue University.
