Welcome Day K77 and English Festival 2026 - Connecting Students and Enhancing Foreign Language Experience

On 24 September 2026, at the Main Hall, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) organised Welcome Day K77 and the 2026 English Festival under the theme “Touch the Moonlight”. The programme provided a space for students from different cohorts to interact and connect, while encouraging foreign language practice and the development of communication and teamwork skills through a variety of experiential activities.

Attending the programme on behalf of the University were Dr. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Rector; Dr. Pham Quang Dung – Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs Office; Mr. Phung Cong Dung – Secretary of the Youth Union; Dr. Nguyen Long Khanh – Director of the Institute of International Education and Cooperation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Quan – Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education and Cooperation; together with staff, lecturers and a large number of K75, K76 and K77 students enrolled in English-enhanced programmes and the Japanese-enhanced programme with an orientation towards working in Japan. Representatives of partner organisations and enterprises also attended the programme.

Welcome Day K77 was organised to welcome new students, helping them become familiar with the learning environment, meet lecturers and fellow students, and explore opportunities for study, foreign language development, practical experience and international integration at the University of Transport Technology. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen interaction and connections between K77 students and those from K75 and K76.

The programme continued with the English Festival “Touch the Moonlight”, featuring a Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere and a variety of activities and competitions conducted in English. Through competitions and group activities, students had opportunities to practise their listening and speaking skills and improve their responsiveness in English, while developing critical thinking, presentation, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Alongside academic activities, the programme created a lively atmosphere through cultural, interactive and experiential activities. Competitions, cheering sessions and group activities contributed to a friendly environment, strengthening connections among students from different cohorts and providing them with memorable experiences during their studies at the University.

Welcome Day K77 and English Festival 2026 not only welcomed new students but also contributed to creating an active foreign language learning environment, strengthening connections among students from different cohorts, and encouraging them to develop essential skills for their studies, international integration and future careers.
