I. GIỚI THIỆU CHUNG
The undergraduate program in Transportation Engineering Technology is designed with an applied orientation, aiming to equip students with a comprehensive system of knowledge on the principles and laws of natural and social phenomena, as well as specialized knowledge in the field of transportation engineering. Students are provided with a solid foundation in mathematics, basic sciences, information technology, core and specialized knowledge of the major, and in-depth knowledge in subfields such as bridges and roads, high-speed rail, railways and metro systems, BIM in transportation infrastructure, smart urban transport infrastructure, highway management and operation, transportation project inspection, and hydraulic works.
In addition to the knowledge framework, the program emphasizes the development of professional skills, enabling students to proficiently use specialized equipment and software; analyze and solve technical problems; and organize and perform tasks in surveying, design, construction, supervision, project management, and maintenance of transportation works. Learners are also trained in independent and team-based work, communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in foreign languages and IT, as well as self-learning, research, and innovation in the context of digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
The program aims to train engineers with professional demeanor, ethical standards, and a sense of responsibility to the community; who can adapt effectively to practical working environments and meet the requirements of enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions. Upon graduation, students can take on positions such as surveying and design engineer, construction engineer, supervisor, quality inspector, project manager, operations and maintenance engineer, laboratory technician, specialist at government agencies, or engage in teaching and research at educational institutions and specialized transportation research institutes.
II. CURRICULUM STRUCTURE AND STUDY PLAN
The total volume of the entire program is 165 credits, not including Physical Education (04 credits) and National Defense and Security Education (09 credits).
