I. GENERAL INTRODUCTION
The undergraduate program in Mechatronic Engineering Technology is developed with an application-oriented approach, aiming to equip learners with a solid foundation of knowledge in mathematics, basic sciences, mechanical engineering, electrical–electronics engineering, control–automation, and information technology. The program also provides specialized knowledge corresponding to each concentration—Mechatronic Engineering Technology and Automotive Mechatronic Engineering Technology—enabling learners to analyze, design, manufacture, operate, diagnose, and maintain mechatronic systems, industrial robots, embedded control systems, CNC machine tools, as well as automotive mechatronic systems and systems used in the transportation industry.
In addition to specialized knowledge, the program develops essential professional skills such as programming; designing and simulating mechatronic systems; hands-on practice in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation engineering; proficiency in specialized software; independent and teamwork skills; communication and negotiation skills; systems thinking; and competencies in foreign languages and information technology. Learners are also trained to develop a professional working attitude, responsibility, ethical conduct, self-learning capability, and innovative thinking to adapt to the context of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Upon graduation, engineers in Mechatronic Engineering Technology can take on positions such as design engineers, operation and maintenance engineers, and technology engineers at design institutes, industrial manufacturing plants, mechanical enterprises, industrial zones, transportation equipment manufacturing and operation companies, automotive service and maintenance centers, as well as governmental agencies in the fields of industry and transportation. Graduates may also work as instructors at vocational education institutions or pursue higher-level studies at the master’s or doctoral levels in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, control–automation, and other related engineering fields.
II. CURRICULUM STRUCTURE AND STUDY PLAN
