University of Transport Technology and the National Political Publishing House “Sự thật” Sign Cooperation Agreement
On the afternoon of January 18, at the Main Hall of the Hanoi Campus, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held a signing ceremony for a Cooperation Regulation Agreement with the National Political Publishing House “Sự thật”. The collaboration aims to leverage each institution’s strengths in fulfilling their political and professional responsibilities. The ceremony was co-chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Trọng Lâm, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Publishing House, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long, President of the University.

Overview of the Signing Ceremony
Attending the event were representatives from central agencies, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Thanh Sơn, Director of the Department of Cadre Training and Development under the Central Organization Commission; Ms. Vũ Diệu Thu, Editorial Board Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper. Also in attendance were delegates from the Central Propaganda Department, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Scientific Council of Party Agencies, the General Department of Political Affairs – Ministry of Public Security, Nhân Dân Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution under the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Press and Publishing Department – Central Propaganda Committee, and representatives from various press and media outlets.
From the Publishing House were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Trọng Lâm, Director – Editor-in-Chief; Mr. Võ Văn Bé, Deputy Director – Deputy Editor-in-Chief; Mr. Nguyễn Thái Bình, Deputy Director; and leaders of the Trade Union, Youth Union, various departments, divisions, centers, printing house, and technical departments, along with staff and journalists from the Publishing House.
Representing Hanoi city agencies were Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Sơn, Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee for Hanoi's Universities and Colleges; Dr. Vũ Tuấn Dũng, former Party Committee Member, former Secretary of the same Party Committee; Mr. Nguyễn Hải Ninh, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee for Universities and Colleges in Hanoi. From the business sector, represented Mr. Lê Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Maritime Corporation
Representing UTT were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm, Party Secretary, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long, Rector; as well as members of the university leadership team, representatives of the Trade Union, Youth Union, heads of departments, and a large number of faculty members and students.
The National Political Publishing House “Sự thật” is the official political publishing agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam, responsible for editing and publishing political, theoretical, and legal books, as well as conducting publishing-related scientific research. The University of Transport Technology is a prestigious educational institution under the Ministry of Transport, tasked with training high-quality, application-oriented human resources across multiple disciplines and sectors, conducting scientific research, and transferring technology in service of the transport sector and national development. Its vision aligns with international trends and the integration of Vietnam’s higher education system with global standards.

In recent years, the two institutions have collaborated on publishing, dissemination, and scientific research. The newly signed cooperation agreement outlines four key areas:
Firstly, about Publishing area: Joint editing and publication (both in print and digital formats) of books, textbooks, conference proceedings, and materials to support teaching, learning, and research activities of lecturers, students, and trainees. This includes research outputs led by the university or its staff across various fields and administrative levels.
Secondly, about Distribution and Promotion area: Coordinated efforts to introduce, promote, and distribute books, textbooks, and publications through diverse methods tailored to the university's functions and operating model.
Thirdly, about Scientific Research area: Regular collaboration to propose, advise, and organize scientific activities such as conferences, workshops, forums, and joint research projects that align with both institutions' political and professional missions.
Fourthly, about Community Engagement and Union Activities area: Joint organization of community and union-related programs and events to strengthen institutional bonds and promote shared values.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Trọng Lâm expressed his delight at the deepened partnership with UTT — a reputable training institution under the Ministry of Transport.
He expressed confidence that with strong political will from both leadership teams and the proactive coordination of their departments, the collaboration will enhance professional capacities and effectively fulfill each side's political and academic missions.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long, Rector of UTT, affirmed the university’s mission to train high-quality human resources for the transport sector — a field that plays a pioneering role in national development. In response to modern demands, the transport sector must lead development efforts. To build a qualified workforce for this purpose, the university has been designated by the Prime Minister as a national key university.
To realize this vision, the university has adopted comprehensive solutions, with a core focus on forming partnerships with domestic and international organizations to maximize support and resources. To date, UTT has signed cooperation agreements with over 50 agencies, institutions, and enterprises covering training, development, and research initiatives.
Expressing his honor at signing a cooperation agreement with the official publishing agency of the Central Party — under the direct and continuous leadership of the Party Secretariat — Dr. Long emphasized that the collaboration would give the university access to authoritative materials and contribute to the professional growth of its staff and faculty in teaching and research. This would, in turn, support the university’s long-term development strategy.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Publishing House’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Trọng Lâm presented the university with two thematic book collections: the “Bookshelf on Defending the Party’s Ideological Foundation” and the “Party Cell Bookshelf.” He also gifted the book “Building and Developing a Comprehensive, Modern, and Characteristic Vietnamese Diplomacy in the Spirit of the Bamboo Tree” authored by General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng. Both institutions exchanged symbolic gifts as a gesture of goodwill, wishing for a fruitful partnership in the future.
