University of Transport Technology, Superport Vietnam, and Singapore Logistics and Supply Chain Academy Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
On December 17, a Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony was held in Vinh Phuc between the University of Transport Technology, Vietnam Superport (SuperPortTM), and the Singapore Logistics and Supply Chain Academy (SCALA). The agreement aims to establish an advanced logistics laboratory and implement initiatives to enhance Vietnam's logistics workforce.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Nguyễn Khắc Hiếu, Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Province; H.E. Jaya Ratman, Singapore Ambassador to Vietnam; and representatives of Vietnam SuperPortTM and SCALA.
On behalf of the University, the event was attended by Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Vice Rector; Dr. Trần Hà Thanh, Vice Rector; and representatives from the Office of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation, the National Defense and Physical Education Center, the Faculty of Transport Economics, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and other faculty members.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, emphasized: “This strategic partnership aligns with Vietnam SuperPortTM’s development strategy and our commitment to enhancing Vietnam’s logistics capabilities. The collaboration in establishing the laboratory will support initiatives, foster innovation, and help stakeholders meet the evolving workforce demands while advancing the goal of developing a modern and sophisticated logistics industry.”

Representatives of the signing parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation.
According to the agreement, the parties will collaborate to establish the first advanced logistics laboratory at the University of Transport Technology, Vĩnh Phúc campus. The laboratory will serve as a hub for innovation and digital transformation, offering high-quality personnel training programs and hosting specialized conferences and seminars. It will also connect students, scholars, and logistics professionals to support strategic development and policymaking for Vietnam’s logistics sector.
Additionally, experts from Vietnam SuperPort™ and SCALA will participate in teaching programs and seminars organized by the university, sharing industry knowledge and practical experience. Students will have the opportunity to visit and learn at Vietnam SuperPort™ and Supply Chain City™ in Singapore, gaining exposure to cutting-edge global logistics infrastructure. Selected students will also be offered internship positions at Vietnam SuperPort™, including a nine-month talent development program at YCH Group’s headquarters in Singapore, providing them with valuable hands-on experience.

The establishment of an advanced logistics laboratory at the Vĩnh Phúc training facility will provide students and faculty with opportunities to access modern technologies and teaching methodologies.
Furthermore, the connection with international experts and internship opportunities at leading institutions will help students gain practical experience, enhance their professional skills, and expand career opportunities. This, in turn, will strengthen the university’s position and contribute to the sustainable development of the logistics sector in Vietnam.
