UTT collaborates with Tongmyong University, South Korea
On September 12, 2023, the University of Transport Technology hosted a delegation from Tongmyong University of South Korea to discuss plans for cooperative training between the two institutions for the new academic year.
Welcoming the delegation from the University of Transport Technology were Dr. Trần Hà Thanh – Vice Rector; Dr. Trần Thanh An – Head of the Graduate Training Department; Dr. Nguyễn Long Khánh – Director of the International Training and Study Abroad Consultation Center, along with representatives from various departments within the university.
From Tongmyong University, the delegation included Mr. Lee Sang-Woo – Head of the International Affairs Office, Korean Language Institute Team Manager; Mr. Joong-Rak Kweon – Director of the International Affairs Office; and Mr. Joo Young (Dennis) Kim – International Relations Team and Marketing Manager at the International Affairs Office.

Overview of the meeting between the two institutions.
During the meeting, both parties discussed and explored various possibilities for collaboration in the new academic year, including short-term exchange programs, dual degree training for students, faculty exchanges, and joint training programs for specific academic disciplines.
As part of the joint training program, students will have the opportunity to study in both Vietnam and South Korea, with Tongmyong University sending Korean instructors to teach at the University of Transport Technology. Students will also learn about and research the culture, education, socio-economics, and science and technology of both Vietnam and South Korea. After graduation, students will receive support from South Korea in finding employment.
Currently, pursuing internationally accredited joint training programs at universities in Vietnam is attracting significant interest from students. This environment helps students develop strong language skills, enabling them to adapt and work effectively in international settings.
It is hoped that today's meeting will open up many opportunities for students from both countries to exchange knowledge and strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and South Korea.

Representatives of both institutions took a commemorative photo during the meeting.
The University of Transport Technology is currently enrolling students for international joint training programs: a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology 2+2 Vietnam-Poland (2 years of study at UTT, followed by 2 years at the University of Information Technology and Management in Poland) and a Bachelor's degree in International Logistics 2+2 Vietnam-South Korea. After graduation, students will receive diplomas issued by the partner institutions abroad.
