Conference of Officials and Employees of the University of Transport Technology in 2025

On January 3, the University of Transport Technology solemnly held the 2025 Conference of Officials and Employees. This event provided an opportunity for the University’s staff and employees to review the outstanding achievements of the past year and set new objectives for the year ahead.

Attending the Conference, from the Vietnam Transport Trade Union were Mr. Quach Xuan Vinh, Vice President, and Mr. Ngo Quoc Tinh, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Department of Legal Policy & Labour Relations.
From the Personnel and Organization Department of the Ministry of Transport were Mr. Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Director, and Ms. Dang Thi Ly, Senior Officer of the Department.

Representing the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Rector; the Vice Rectors; Dr. Le Thu Sao, Chairwoman of the University Trade Union; together with 244 distinguished delegates representing more than 700 officials, staff members, and employees across the University.

At the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Rector of the University, presented the Report on the implementation of the University’s tasks in 2024 and key directions for 2025. In 2024, despite facing numerous challenges, the University’s faculty and staff demonstrated unity and determination, overcoming difficulties to fulfill assigned tasks and achieve remarkable results across various areas, including digital transformation; administration and personnel management; academic training; scientific research, innovation and international cooperation; student affairs; infrastructure development; staff development; finance; and community engagement.

Looking ahead to 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long outlined several strategic orientations for sustainable development. These include streamlining the organizational structure; continuing to prioritize digital transformation; innovating teaching methodologies in line with modern educational trends; enhancing the quality of academic and administrative staff; and further improving the University’s facilities.

In the Supervisory Report of the University Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, emphasized several notable achievements over the past year. These included streamlining the organizational structure, consolidating the University Council, and promulgating four key documents and regulations that serve as important foundations for the University’s development: the Regulation on Democratic Practices, the Financial Regulation, the Regulation on Organization and Personnel, and the Regulation on the Management and Utilization of Officials and Employees.

The University also recorded progress in training, finance, and infrastructure, highlighted by major projects such as the expansion of the Vinh Phuc campus and investments in innovation spaces. The supervision of the implementation of resolutions was carried out rigorously, ensuring compliance with legal provisions and contributing to the enhancement of training quality and institutional management.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem called upon all officials and employees to continue upholding the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and dedication, contributing wholeheartedly to the University’s overall development and successfully fulfilling its mission and stated objectives.

The Conference also elected the People’s Inspection Committee for the 2025–2026 term, consisting of three members:
Mr. Phung Cong Dung – Secretary of the Youth Union;
Mr. Vu Trung Hieu – Chairman of the Trade Union of the Faculty of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, and Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation;
Ms. Lưu Thi Thu Ha, Lecturer of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Vice Chairwoman of the University Trade Union.

The Conference announced decisions on commendations. Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport awarded the title of “Excellent Labor Collective at Ministerial Level” to the University of Transport Technology; presented Certificates of Merit to one collective and several individuals for outstanding performance over the past year; and the Vietnam Transport Trade Union awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with exceptional achievements in the emulation movement for excellent labor and in building a strong trade union organization. The Rector also presented Certificates of Commendation to 14 excellent collectives and 77 individuals, and awarded prizes to collectives and individuals with outstanding ideas and initiatives aimed at improving work quality and efficiency in 2024.

After a productive working session, the Conference adopted its Resolution with a number of important contents orienting the University’s development for the 2024–2025 academic year, with 100% of delegates in agreement.
