The University of Transport Technology, in collaboration with the Truth National Political Publishing House, is implementing a system of electronic textbooks and learning materials.
On the afternoon of March 18, 2024, in Hanoi, the Truth National Political Publishing House and the University of Transport Technology held a working session on the coordination and implementation of publishing a system of electronic textbooks and learning materials. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Nguyễn Thái Bình, Deputy Director of the Publishing House, and Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology.
Attending the working session were representatives of the leadership from several affiliated units of the Truth National Political Publishing House and the University of Transport Technology.
Overview of the working session
The Truth National Political Publishing House is the Party’s central political publishing agency, responsible for editing and publishing political, theoretical, and legal books, as well as conducting research in publishing science. The University of Transport Technology, a reputable training institution under the Ministry of Transport, is tasked with providing high-quality, application-oriented education and training across multiple disciplines and fields.At present, the University of Transport Technology has approximately 700 lecturers and more than 15,000 students studying across its three campuses.
Mr. Nguyễn Thái Bình, Deputy Director of the Truth National Political Publishing House, delivered remarks at the working session.
Providing an overview of the electronic publishing system currently being developed by the Truth National Political Publishing House, Mr. Nguyễn Thái Bình, Deputy Director of the Publishing House, stated that the institution is now publishing and distributing electronic publications in various formats, including e-books, audiobooks, and multimedia books.
The Publishing House will provide strong support to the University of Transport Technology in editing, publishing, and distributing online textbooks and reference materials to serve the teaching, research, and learning needs of the University’s faculty members and students. In addition, it will offer access to the Electronic Party Cell Bookshelf and the Electronic Law Bookshelf, enabling the University’s Party members and lecturers to stay updated with authoritative materials on the Party’s guidelines and policies, as well as the State’s laws and regulations.
Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology, delivered remarks at the working session.
Speaking at the working session, Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology, stated that the University currently possesses thousands of textbooks and reference materials. He expressed the hope that, in the near future, the Truth National Political Publishing House will assist in editing and republishing these textbooks and materials in electronic formats, thereby enabling students across the University to access these resources more efficiently. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of providing a platform for recording online lectures in the classroom to support the University’s distance learning programs.
Based on the consensus reached by the leadership of both institutions regarding the coordination initiative, the delegates at the working session exchanged and discussed specific matters related to the editing, publishing, and distribution of the University of Transport Technology’s electronic textbooks and reference materials through the electronic publishing system of the Truth National Political Publishing House, available at https://sachquocgia.vn.
