Commendation Ceremony for Students Winning Awards at the National Mathematics Olympiad and the 2025 UTT National Mechanics Olympiad Team Launch

In the morning of April 10, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held a ceremony to commend students who achieved outstanding results at the 31st National Mathematics Olympiad for University and High School Students, and simultaneously launched the University’s Mechanics Olympiad Team participating in the 2025 National Competition. The event was attended by Dr. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice President of the University, leaders of various departments, supervising lecturers, and all students of the Mathematics and Mechanics Olympiad teams.

Overview of the event

At the ceremony, Vice President Nguyen Van Lam praised and rewarded the students who won prizes at the 31st National Mathematics Olympiad. Earlier, the University’s Mathematics Olympiad Team achieved impressive results with 5 out of 6 participating students winning awards in two categories: Algebra and Calculus. The awards include 1 Second Prize and 4 Third Prizes: Student Tran Trung Hieu (74DCCO23) – Second Prize in Algebra; Student Pham Thai Duong (74DCHT22) – Third Prize in Algebra; Student Nguyen Manh Quan (75DCCK22), Student Hoang Nhat Anh (74DCTT23), Student Tran Minh Quan (74DCTT26) – Third Prize in Calculus

The achievements not only demonstrate the University’s strong commitment to academic activities, scientific research, and Olympic competitions, but also reflect the continuous effort and dedication of the students, together with the enthusiastic guidance of lecturers from the Department of Applied Mathematics – Faculty of Applied Sciences: Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Thach, Mr. Vu Xuan Nham, Ms. Luu Thi Van Anh, and Mr. Hoang Van Can.

Within the framework of the program, the University also held the Launch Ceremony for the 2025 UTT Mechanics Olympiad Team. This year, the team consists of 25 students competing in three subjects: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Soil Mechanics, under the supervision of five experienced and devoted lecturers.

The National Mechanics Olympiad will officially take place on April 13, 2025 at Vietnam Maritime University. This is one of the most reputable academic competitions nationwide, contributing to improving analytical thinking, strengthening professional competence, and fostering a proactive learning spirit among students.
