Announcement Ceremony of the Decision on Recognizing the Rector of the University of Transport Technology for the 2025–2030 Term

On October 10, 2025, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) solemnly held the Ceremony to Announce the Decision on Recognizing the Rector for the 2025–2030 term. The ceremony took place in a dignified, warm, and celebratory atmosphere, marking a new milestone in the University’s development amid the higher education sector ‘s ongoing efforts to promote institutional autonomy, innovation, and international integration.

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Construction Phạm Minh Hà; leaders of central and local ministries, agencies, and organizations; representatives of universities, research institutes, and partner enterprises; along with the University’s leadership, staff, faculty members, and students. Authorized by the Ministry of Construction’s leadership, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Nghĩa – Deputy Director General of the Department of Personnel and Organization – announced the Decision on Recognizing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long as Rector of the University of Transport Technology for the 2025–2030 term.

Phát biểu chúc mừng, Thứ trưởng Phạm Minh Hà ghi nhận và đánh giá cao những nỗ lực của PGS.TS. Nguyễn Hoàng Long và tập thể Nhà trường trong nhiệm kỳ vừa qua - giai đoạn khởi đầu thực hiện tự chủ đại học. Dưới sự lãnh đạo, chỉ đạo của Đảng ủy, Hội đồng trường, Ban Giám hiệu, UTT đã đạt được nhiều kết quả nổi bật về quy mô đào tạo, đảm bảo các tiêu chí chuẩn cơ sở giáo dục đại học, kiểm định chất lượng CTĐT, phát triển khoa học công nghệ và mở rộng hợp tác quốc tế, góp phần khẳng định vị thế và uy tín của Trường trong hệ thống giáo dục đại học Việt Nam và quốc tế.

Delivering his congratulatory remarks, Deputy Minister Phạm Minh Hà acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long and the entire University during the previous term—the initial stage of implementing university autonomy. Under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the University Council, and the Board of Management, UTT achieved numerous outstanding results in training scale; meeting higher education institutional standards; accrediting academic programs; promoting science and technology development; and strengthening international cooperation. These achievements have contributed to enhancing and affirming the University’s position and reputation within both the Vietnamese and international higher education systems.

In his inaugural remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long expressed his great honor and sincere appreciation for the trust placed in him by the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Party Committee of Universities and Colleges in Hanoi, and the entire academic community of the University. He affirmed that he would work closely with the University’s leadership to uphold its tradition of solidarity, foster innovation and breakthrough development, and especially focus on implementing major strategic initiatives in the upcoming term— including the University’s proactive engagement in the national railway development strategy and smart transportation infrastructure, thereby contributing to the industrialization and modernization of the sector and the country.
