The 8th Congress of Delegates of the Party Committee of the University of Transport Technology in 2025–2030
On April 29, 2025, the 8th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Transport Technology for the 2025–2030 tenure was successfully convened after a period of thorough and active preparation. Under the spirit of “Solidarity – Democracy – Creativity – Breakthrough – Development,” the Congress took place in a solemn, democratic, and highly responsible atmosphere, with the participation of 166 official delegates representing the subordinate Party cells of the University’s Party Committee. This event held special significance as it was organized in a joyful atmosphere toward the celebration of UTT’s 80th founding anniversary (November 15, 1945 – November 15, 2025).

Attending and directing the Congress were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Nghĩa, Deputy Director General of Department of Personnel and Organization, Ministry of Construction; Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Sơn, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committees of the Hanoi Universities and Colleges, and Ms. Trương Thị Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committees of Hanoi Universities and Colleges.
Representing the Party Committee of the University were Mr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Mr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University; members of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Party Committee; Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of affiliated Party committees and subordinate Party cells; along with representatives of the Youth Union, the Trade Union, and 166 official delegates.
During the preparatory session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Credentials Committee; and approved the official agenda, the working regulations, and the electoral regulations of the Party.
In the official session, the Congress heard the report on the outcomes of the preparatory session, the credentials verification report, the political report of the 7th Party Committee, and the self-assessment report of the Executive Committee for the 2020–2025 tenure. The delegates actively participated in discussions and presented thoughtful and dedicated contributions to further refine the Congress documents.

Comrade Ngô Thị Thanh Hương, Secretary of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Party Cell and Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, delivered a presentation at the Congress.
In his directive remarks at the Congress, Comrade Nguyễn Thanh Sơn, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committees of Hanoi Universities and Colleges, acknowledged and commended the achievements attained by the Party Committee of the University during the past tenure. He also emphasized key tasks for the upcoming period and requested that the Party Committee continue to uphold its tradition of solidarity, renew its mindset, and foster creativity in leading and directing political tasks, education and training, scientific research, and international cooperation.

Within the framework of the Congress, one of the key agenda items was the election of the Executive Committee of the 8th Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure. With a spirit of democracy, objectivity, transparency, seriousness, and responsibility, the Congress elected 15 members to the Executive Committee of the 8th Party Committee, as well as the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Inspection Commission.

The Executive Committee for the 8th term (2025–2030) was introduced to the Congress.
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the 8th Party Committee of the University of Transport Technology for the 2025–2030 tenure, Comrade Vũ Ngọc Khiêm expressed his profound gratitude to all delegates attending the Congress for their trust and confidence in the newly elected Executive Committee. He affirmed the determination to continue, together with the entire Committee, to uphold the Party Committee’s tradition of solidarity, pioneering spirit, and innovation; and to devote the highest efforts to leading the University in successfully fulfilling its mission, tasks, and the objectives and targets set forth by the Congress.
Comrade Vũ Ngọc Khiêm also expressed his hope that all Party members will continue to support, accompany, and create favorable conditions for the Executive Committee to fully leverage its collective capability and wisdom, thereby achieving new accomplishments and making practical contributions to the rapid, strong, and sustainable development of the University—worthy of its stature and aspirations in the nation’s current period of development.
In addition, the Congress elected the delegation to attend the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges for the 2025–2030 term. The delegates also actively discussed and contributed opinions to the Draft Documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the Political Report of the Party Committee for the new tenure. These matters were approved by the Congress with a high level of consensus and unanimity.
Concluding a day of prompt, serious, and effective work, the 8th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Transport Technology for the 2025–2030 tenure was successfully completed. The Congress demonstrated the determination and unity of all officials and Party members of the University to continue building the University of Transport Technology toward sustainable development, thereby making significant contributions to the training of high-quality human resources for the transport sector and for the country in an era of deep international integration.
