Meeting on cooperation between University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis and University of Transport Technology
On November 10th 2015, Mr. Eric Cartignies – Rector of University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis had a meeting at the University of Transport Technology (UTT) about the opportunities for cooperation in education, scientific research and technology transfer. From UTT were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong – Rector, Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem - Vice Rector, Dr. Ngo Quoc Trinh - Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, and the lecturers who had studied in France.
University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis is a multi-disciplinary University in the city of Valenciennes, France. The University’s training follows technological practice-based orientation which are similar UTT, so appropriate for student exchange between the two universities.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong appreciated the training environment and the reputation of the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis in the French’s university system. Prof. Rector also proposed to build relationship and comprehensive cooperation in training and scientific research between the two universitiess in the field of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Information Technology.
Rector of the University of Valenciennes, Mr. Eric Cartignies thanked Dr. Dao Van Dong about the warmly welcome and confirmed he would actively promote the cooperation between two universities for sending students from UTT to attend the course at University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis next year. At the same time Mr. Eric Cartignies will also coordinate with UTT to develop training programs in French for students.
