The Rector of UTT Participated in the Second Vietnam – Russian Federation University Rectors Forum

On April 18, at Lomonosov Moscow State University in Moscow, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Rector of the University, attended the Second Vietnam – Russian Federation University Rectors' Forum. The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The event was attended by Mr. Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam; H.E. Mr. Dang Minh Khoi, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation; Academician Viktor Sadovnichy, President of the Russian Union of Rectors and Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU); along with representatives from approximately 40 Russian and 21 Vietnamese universities.

At the forum, delegates discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and education, exchanged outstanding experiences and best practices, and signed agreements aimed at deepening humanitarian cooperation between Vietnamese and Russian universities in the areas of education, science, and technology.

A highlight of the Forum was the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between Vietnamese and Russian universities, laying the groundwork for collaboration in research, academic exchange, joint organization of conferences and seminars, and student and lecturer exchange.

The fields with the most collaborative potential are those where the Russian Federation holds a strong advantage and that are of interest to Vietnam. At the Forum, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) signed a cooperation agreement with Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Rector (of UTT), and Mr. Viktor Maliugin, representing the leadership of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, exchanged the signed cooperation agreement.
