UTT Co-organises Vietnam–Korea D-Global Forum on Connecting Promising Technologies and Science and Technology Enterprises

On 27 October 2026, in Hanoi, the University of Transport Technology (UTT), in collaboration with the Centre for Science and Technology Enterprise Development (under the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises, Ministry of Science and Technology) and the Daejeon Centre for Creative Economy and Innovation (DCCEI, South Korea), organised the forum entitled “Vietnam–Korea D-Global: Connecting Promising Technologies and Science and Technology Enterprises”.

The event was attended by Mr. Tran Xuan Dich – Deputy Director General of the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises, Ministry of Science and Technology; and Mr. Park Daehee – Director of the Daejeon Centre for Creative Economy and Innovation (DCCEI). Representing the University of Transport Technology were Dr. Tran Thanh An – Vice Rector; representatives of the University's departments and units; research groups; lecturers; and students. The event also welcomed experts and representatives of organisations and enterprises from Vietnam and South Korea.

Dr. Tran Thanh An – Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology – delivering the opening remarks

In his opening remarks, Dr. Tran Thanh An, Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology, noted that the Vietnam–South Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is creating numerous opportunities for cooperation in science, technology and innovation. Against the backdrop of artificial intelligence, smart cities, automation and emerging technologies transforming transport operations and manufacturing processes, strengthening collaboration among government authorities, universities and enterprises is essential to connecting research with practical needs.

According to Dr. Tran Thanh An, this collaborative model provides research outcomes and technological products with greater opportunities to reach enterprises, undergo testing and be further developed in real-world environments. It also enables the University to expand research cooperation, promote technology transfer, develop human resources and create more learning and practical experience opportunities for students.
