UTT Delegation Visits and Works with the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, Russia

On April 17, 2024, a delegation from the University of Transport Technology (UTT), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, President of UTT, paid a visit and worked with the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, Russia. Accompanying the delegation were Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice President, together with leaders from the Department of Science, Technology & International Cooperation, the Training Department, and the Faculty of Information Technology.

This visit was part of the 2nd Vietnam-Russia University Presidents Forum, held at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), co-organized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Welcoming and working with the UTT delegation on behalf of the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics were Rector Sergey Erokhin and the university’s leadership board.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership of the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics for their warm and respectful reception. On behalf of the UTT delegation, he provided an overview of the University of Transport Technology, highlighting its nearly 80-year history of development, major training fields, and strengths in scientific research, technology transfer, and community service.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long also extended an invitation to the leadership of the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics to visit and work at UTT in the near future.

During the working session, the two institutions discussed several important issues aimed at progressing toward the signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement. Areas of interest identified for collaboration-based on the strengths and resources of each institution-included: faculty, researcher, and staff exchange programs (short-term and medium-term); joint training programs and student exchanges; cooperation in scientific research; co-hosting conferences, seminars, and specialized workshops. At the end of the visit, the delegation also toured laboratories and the university’s traditional museum.
