The 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Systems – ICIS 2024

On the morning of October 24, the University of Transport Technology (UTT), in collaboration with the Intelligent Systems Association (India), organized the 3rd International Conference on “Intelligent Systems” – ICIS 2024, creating a forum for international exchange of knowledge and experience on scientific and technological achievements in the field of Intelligent Systems. The event attracted the participation of more than 200 scientists and experts from over 20 countries and territories.

Attending the conference were distinguished delegates from central ministries and agencies, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Trọng Lâm – Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Sự thật; Dr. Trần Thanh Cương – Deputy Director General of the Department of Training and Fostering Cadres, Central Organizing Commission; and Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tiến – Deputy Director General of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Ministry of Transport.

From the co-organizing units, the conference welcomed Prof. Dr. Prasant Kumar Pattnaik of KIIT Deemed University, President of the Intelligent Systems Association (India); and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Souvik Pal, representing Sister Nivedita University, India.

On behalf of UTT, participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm – Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector; Vice Rectors; leaders of various units; as well as faculty members and students. 

The event also saw the participation of representatives from governmental agencies, universities, research institutes, enterprises, media agencies, and particularly, scholars and scientists from many countries around the world.

The conference drew the attention of a large number of domestic and international experts and scientists.

In his welcome remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector of UTT – emphasized that in recent years, the University has gradually enhanced its university governance capacity in line with digital transformation. UTT is standardizing and diversifying its practice-oriented training programs with vertical and interdisciplinary linkages integrated with digital technology, while promoting research in information technology and intelligent systems to address key practical challenges.

He expressed his hope that the research and reports presented at the conference would bring useful ideas and results, contributing to sustainable development in the field of Intelligent Systems, and to the mission of “Pioneering the Way” in the transport sector as well as the socio-economic development of Vietnam.

At the conference, Prof. Dr. Prasant Kumar Pattnaik, President of the Intelligent Systems Association of India, stated that the International Conference on Intelligent Systems has become a prestigious event for scholars worldwide. Since its inception, the conference has served as a forum for Intelligent Systems researchers to share groundbreaking ideas and the latest scientific results.

Within the framework of the conference, UTT and Sister Nivedita University (India) signed a memorandum of understanding, marking an important milestone in promoting cooperation on research and applications of Intelligent Systems between the two institutions.

A highlight of the event was the launch of the ICIS 2024 proceedings entitled “Algorithms for Intelligent Systems”, published by Springer. The proceedings compile outstanding research contributions and significant findings from scientists and experts worldwide in artificial intelligence and intelligent systems. A total of 39 papers were selected after a rigorous review process from 102 valid submissions.

In the afternoon, thematic sessions were held in both in-person and online formats at venues in Vietnam and abroad. The sessions featured presentations by experts and scientists from India, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, Iraq, and Vietnam.
