2023 Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Information Technology

As part of the series of activities celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Information Technology (April 25, 2003 – April 25, 2023), the Faculty of Information Technology held the 2023 Scientific Conference on the morning of April 6, 2023. The conference aimed to present and introduce research findings, explore new research directions, share experiences, foster academic exchanges, and promote scientific research among IT faculty members.
Attending the conference on behalf of UTT were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem – Party Secretary, Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Rector, along with representatives from the Training Department, the Department of Science, Technology & International Cooperation, the Faculty of IT, faculty members, speakers, and students. The conference also welcomed two guest speakers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Binh Minh – Director of the Center for Digital Technology and Economy, and Dr. Nguyen Bao Huy from the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Overview of the 2023 Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Information Technology

Attending and speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, emphasized the importance of the IT sector in the context of the ongoing Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is bringing revolutionary transformations to all aspects of social life. He also commended the faculty and staff of the IT Department for their continuous efforts in achieving outstanding results in both teaching and scientific research, significantly contributing to the development of the University of Transport Technology.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm expressed his hope that in the future, the faculty members of the department will continue striving, maintaining their passion for scientific research, creatively applying research achievements to practical applications, and regularly connecting with external scientists to exchange research findings.

At the conference, guest speakers and presenters from the two subcommittees—Information Technology and Electronics, Telecommunications, and Mechatronics—of the Faculty of IT delivered their reports, showcasing dedicated research efforts on specialized and innovative topics. 
Notable presentations included "An Introduction to Decentralized AI: The Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technology" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Bình Minh, "Electric Vehicles from an Energy Perspective" by Dr. Nguyễn Bảo Huy from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, "Mobile Fog Computing: The Integration of Smart Vehicles and Fog Computing" by MSc. PhD Candidate Đỗ Bảo Sơn, "Design and Development of an Automated Product Assembly Robot Model for Training Using KUKA Robots" by MSc. Lương Việt Trung, "Effective Application of ChatGPT in Undergraduate Teaching Activities" by MSc. Mạc Văn Quang, and "Wireless Technology and RF Communications" by MSc. Hoàng Thị Thúy. These presentations provided fresh and multidimensional perspectives, contributing valuable insights to academic and industry discussions.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Bình Minh, Director of the Center for Technology and Digital Economy at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, presented the report "Introduction to Decentralized AI: The Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technology."

Dr. Nguyễn Bảo Huy from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, presented on "Electric Vehicles – An Energy Perspective."

MSc. PhD Candidate Võ Thanh Được shared insights on "MEMS Sensors and Their Applications in Mechatronics."

MSc. Lương Việt Trung presented a report on "Design and Development of an Automatic Product Assembly Robot Model for Training Using KUKA Robots."

Representatives of the university leadership presented commemorative gifts to the scientists from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

After the presentations by the speakers, many valuable comments and feedback from the attending faculty members contributed to refining the research studies.
The Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Information Technology served as a bridge for lecturers and students to engage in academic discussions, exchange expertise, and advance scientific research, ultimately enhancing the practical application of IT in real life.
