UTT Delegation Attends HaMoNee Project Closing Conference at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW), Germany

From September 23 to September 30, 2024, a delegation from the University of Transport Technology (UTT), including Dr. Trần Hà Thanh, Vice President, and Dr. Võ Thanh Được, Head of the Mechatronics Department, Faculty of Information Technology, attended the Closing Conference of the HaMoNee Project hosted by the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) in Germany

The HaMoNee Project – “Hamburg/Hanoi Mobile Engineers”, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), aims to enhance academic exchange and build a long-term, sustainable cooperation between UTT and HAW Hamburg. Each year, the project provides full scholarships for 2–3 UTT students to study at HAW Hamburg, and vice versa.

Over the course of four years, four UTT students received full scholarships and successfully studied at HAW Hamburg. During this time, students from UTT’s Faculty of Information Technology also attended specialized modules such as Matlab and data processing, taught directly by professors from HAW Hamburg.

Vietnamese university partners in the project included: Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST); University of Transport Technology (UTT); Phenikaa University; Vietnam-Germany University (VGU); Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH)

The project also involved industrial partners in Vietnam’s automobile manufacturing sector, such as VinFast and Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO).

During the event, the UTT delegation and two exchange students — Phạm Phúc Anh and Đàm Thuận Lâm from class 71DCCN22, majoring in Mechatronics Engineering Technology — shared their experiences living and studying in Germany over the past six months with experts and fellow international students attending the conference.
