Student Scientific Research Conference for English Language Majors 2026
On 10 June 2026, the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the University of Transport Technology (UTT) organized the Student Scientific Research Conference for English Language Majors. The event aimed to provide an academic forum for students to present their research findings, exchange professional knowledge, and enhance their scientific research capabilities in the context of international integration.
Attending the conference were Dr. Lu Thi Yen and Dr. Le Ngoc Ly – Vice Deans of the Faculty of Applied Sciences; Mr. Lai Bao Tan – President of the Student Association of the University; representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, the Department of Foreign Languages, along with lecturers and students majoring in English Language at the University.

The conference featured eight outstanding student research presentations, focusing on contemporary topics with high practical applicability. Notable studies included: the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving English listening skills among university students; the use of AI-powered applications in learning and practicing English speaking skills; an investigation into the effectiveness of the shadowing technique in enhancing English pronunciation; as well as studies on foreign language learning methods, English–Vietnamese translation, and the development of online vocabulary learning platforms.

A highlight of the conference was the participation and professional sharing from international guest speaker Ms. Corinne COUDERT, an English lecturer from Nantes, France. Her presentation offered an international perspective on foreign language teaching and learning, emphasizing the importance of communicative approaches and cultural factors in improving English learning outcomes. Her practical experiences and academic insights from the European educational context broadened students' perspectives and enabled them to engage more closely with international standards in language education.

In addition, the presentations reflected diverse perspectives on foreign language learning in the context of globalization, highlighting the role of technology, modern learning methodologies, and interdisciplinary approaches in English Language education. The discussion sessions were dynamic and engaging, featuring numerous academic exchanges between students and lecturers. These interactions contributed to a deeper understanding of the research topics and expanded practical perspectives on the issues addressed.
