UTT Ready to Conquer the National Mechanics Olympiad 2026

On May 8, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held the Launching Ceremony for teams participating in the National Mechanics Olympiad 2026 in an enthusiastic, determined, and spirited atmosphere.

Attending the program were Dr. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan – Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences; Dr. Pham Quang Dung – Deputy Head of the Office of Academic Affairs; Dr. Phung Ba Thang – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering; along with lecturers serving as team advisors and students of the University’s Mechanics Olympiad teams for 2026.

In his remarks at the event, Dr. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Rector of the University acknowledged and highly appreciated the dedication and efforts of lecturers and students throughout the preparation process. He also encouraged the teams to compete with confidence and determination and wished them excellent results in this year’s competition.

This year, the UTT Mechanics Olympiad team consists of 32 students competing in three categories: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Soil Mechanics under the guidance of experienced and dedicated lecturers.

The National Mechanics Olympiad is a prestigious academic competition for engineering students nationwide, where participating teams demonstrate professional competence, scientific thinking, and the determination to conquer knowledge. Being selected for the team is not only a source of pride for each student but also reflects the serious learning spirit, perseverance, and aspiration for excellence of UTT students.

At the ceremony, the University leadership presented flowers and encouraged the teams before their departure for the competition. The bouquets and the attention and expectations from lecturers and university leaders served as motivation for the team members to become more confident and determined to conquer the national academic arena.

In the Northern region, the National Mechanics Olympiad 2026 will officially take place on May 10, 2026 at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
