UTT Students Continue Their Practical Learning Journey at Vietnam SuperPort™ Logistics Center
Continuing the success of industry–academia cooperation activities, on December 18, 2025, the Department of Urban Planning and Transportation (Faculty of Civil Engineering) organized a field trip to the multimodal Vietnam SuperPort™ Logistics Center for 115 students from Classes 76DCLH21 and 76DCLH22.
The visit forms part of the University’s commitment to strengthening close linkages between academia and industry, providing students majoring in Logistics and Transportation Infrastructure with direct exposure to the most advanced operational models currently in practice.
Experiencing a Leading Regional Logistics Model
During the visit, the student delegation was welcomed by representatives of Vietnam SuperPort™, who introduced an overview of the project’s scale. With a planned area of up to 83 hectares and substantial total investment, this is Vietnam’s first-of-its-kind multimodal logistics center, inheriting more than 70 years of experience from the YCH Group (Singapore).
Students directly toured and learned about:
- Off-Airport Cargo Terminal (OACT): Exploring an innovative solution that helps reduce congestion at Nội Bài International Airport and optimize cargo customs clearance time.
- Bonded Warehouse System: Observing international-standard processes for cargo storage and management.
- Strategic Location: The project is situated along the Northern economic corridor, directly connecting more than 20 industrial parks, Nội Bài International Airport, and Hải Phòng Port.

Students were welcomed by Vietnam SuperPort™ representatives and introduced to the overall project scale.

Numerous questions regarding operational procedures, technology applications in logistics, as well as internship and employment opportunities were addressed in detail.
Representatives of Vietnam SuperPort™ highly appreciated the proactiveness and solid foundational knowledge of UTT students. Such field trips not only help students consolidate classroom theory but also shape a professional working mindset for their future careers.
