First Day of Semester II: UTT Pilots the S.OMO Blended Learning Model

In the early days of Semester II of the 2025–2026 academic year, the campus of the University of Transport Technology (UTT) has returned to a vibrant academic rhythm. Within familiar classroom settings, a new approach to teaching and learning is gradually taking shape as the University officially launches a pilot of the S.OMO (Smart. Online – Merge – Offline) blended learning model.

Observations from classrooms show lecturers proactively engaging with students while simultaneously connecting on-site and online participants—demonstrating the flexibility and modernity of the S.OMO model. Face-to-face learning, online learning, and blended modalities are seamlessly integrated and managed on a unified digital platform, contributing to improved teaching effectiveness, enhanced learner autonomy, and enriched learning experiences.

By piloting the S.OMO blended learning model from the very beginning of the semester, the University of Transport Technology continues to reaffirm its strategic commitment to advancing digital transformation in higher education, progressively innovating teaching methodologies to meet the demands of high-quality human resource development in the new era.

Semester II begins with renewed momentum, a spirit of innovation, and a drive for creativity—promising positive and engaging learning experiences for both lecturers and students at UTT.
