University of Transport Technology Holds the 2026 Conference of Officials and Employees

On 14 January 2026, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) solemnly held the 2026 Conference of Officials and Employees. The Conference was an important occasion to review the achievements of 2025, while discussing and reaching consensus on key orientations and priority tasks for 2026.

Attending the Conference were Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm – Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; the Vice Rectors; Dr. Lê Thu Sao – Chairwoman of the University Trade Union; Mr. Phùng Công Dũng – Secretary of the Youth Union, together with a large number of officials, civil servants and employees across the University, connected from the Hanoi, Phu Tho and Thai Nguyen campuses.

At the Conference, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Lâm – Vice Rector presented the Report on the Implementation of Tasks in 2025 and Key Orientations and Tasks for 2026.
In 2025, the University achieved many notable results across major areas, including training and education, assessment and quality assurance, science and technology, international cooperation, organizational restructuring, finance and infrastructure. Student admissions reached 100% of assigned targets; academic programs were refined in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework; and several master’s programs were accredited as meeting quality standards. Scientific research and international cooperation experienced strong growth, with nearly 200 international publications, numerous national- and ministerial-level research projects, international projects implemented, and the University’s Journal of Science, Technology and Transport officially indexed in Scopus. The University continued to streamline its organizational structure, enhance the quality of academic staff, invest in modern facilities, and improve the learning environment.

Looking ahead to 2026, the University identified the goal of continuing strong innovation and sustainable development, with a focus on organizational streamlining, improving academic staff quality, promoting internationalization, and enhancing training quality. Key targets include participation in the QS Asia University Rankings, opening and adjusting academic programs in line with practical demand, developing 5–7 flagship academic programs, increasing the proportion of courses taught in English, and accelerating the digitization of learning resources. Science, technology and innovation activities will be further strengthened, aiming to increase international publications, intellectual property registrations, and the implementation of national and international research projects. At the same time, the University will continue investing in infrastructure, improving financial management efficiency, and enhancing learner-centered services toward building a modern, high-quality and internationally integrated educational environment.

The Conference also heard Ms. Lưu Thị Thu Hà – Head of the People’s Inspection Committee, who presented the 2025 activity report and the 2026 action plan of the Committee, emphasizing its role in supervision and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of officials and employees.
Dr. Trần Thanh An – Vice Rector presented the proposed amendments to the Internal Expenditure Regulations, ensuring transparency, openness, practical relevance, and compliance with current regulations.

With a spirit of democracy, openness and responsibility, officials and employees expressed their proposals and aspirations, contributing many solutions to enhance the University’s effectiveness in the coming academic year. Key discussions focused on developing flagship academic programs, promoting scientific research and innovation, increasing international publications, and improving educational quality in line with QS Asia evaluation criteria.

Delivering his directive remarks, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector highly appreciated the achievements attained in 2025, and emphasized the need to continue strictly implementing democratic regulations, maintaining discipline, strengthening responsibility, and fostering innovation in all activities. These were identified as decisive factors for the University to successfully achieve its strategic goals in the new development phase.

In recognition of outstanding contributions, the Conference announced and presented various forms of commendation to exemplary collectives and individuals. Accordingly, the University leadership awarded: Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Transport to outstanding collectives and individuals in 2025; Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee to exemplary collectives and individuals; Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and the Vietnam Construction Trade Union for achievements in the emulation movement “Excellent and Creative Labour”; Commemorative Medals “For the Development of Vietnam’s Transport Sector” awarded by the Ministry of Transport (2024); Certificates of Merit and Commendations from the Rector for outstanding collectives and individuals; Awards for collectives and individuals achieving high prizes in the 2025 E-learning Lecture Design Competition.

After a serious, responsible and effective working session, the Conference unanimously adopted the Resolution with 100% approval. The collective of officials and employees of the University of Transport Technology reaffirmed their determination to unite and successfully accomplish the set objectives, further strengthening the University’s position within the higher education system.
