Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026)

On March 26, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) solemnly held the Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026). This was an occasion for generations of Youth Union officials to reflect on the glorious past, look toward a bright future, and continue to ignite the spirit of youth with the motto: “Pioneering – Creativity – Dedication in the Nation’s Era of Advancement.”

Attending the program, on the side of the Hanoi Youth Union was Mr. Ngô Phú Thảo – Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Youth and Adolescents Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Young Pioneer Council.

On the side of the University were Dr. Nguyễn Văn Lâm – Vice Rector, former Secretary of the University Youth Union; Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng – Chairman of the Veterans Association, former Vice Rector; Dr. Lê Thu Sao – Chairman of the University Trade Union, along with leaders of units, former Youth Union officials through different periods, lecturers serving as Secretaries of affiliated Youth Union branches, and a large number of Youth Union members and students.

Representing the University Youth Union were Mr. Phùng Công Dũng – Secretary of the University Youth Union; Mr. Nguyễn Huy Hùng – Deputy Secretary; Mr. Phạm Quyết Chiến – Deputy Secretary; Mr. Lại Bảo Tân – President of the Student Association.

At the beginning of the program, Mr. Phùng Công Dũng – Secretary of the University Youth Union, delivered the commemorative speech, reviewing the 95-year journey of establishment and development of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. He affirmed the core role of the Youth Union in educating ideals and fostering the younger generation, while emphasizing the proud tradition and pioneering, creative spirit of UTT youth associated with the mission of the transport sector.

For the upcoming period, Mr. Phùng Công Dũng proposed five key tasks and solutions: strengthening political, ideological, moral, and lifestyle education for Youth Union members and students; promoting the pioneering role in learning and scientific research, especially in key technological fields; accelerating digital transformation in Youth Union activities and enhancing students’ digital competencies; improving the effectiveness of volunteer activities associated with professional expertise and community service; and building a strong Youth Union organization while enhancing support, care, and protection of students’ legitimate rights and interests.

Speaking at the program, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Lâm – Vice Rector, extended his congratulations to all Youth Union members and students, while acknowledging and commending the dynamism, creativity, and enthusiasm of UTT youth, as well as their outstanding achievements in learning, scientific research, and volunteer activities.

With the 2026 theme: “Digitizing Knowledge – Strengthening Expertise – Serving the Community,” he requested the Youth Union to focus on three key tasks: continuing to promote revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle education, building the model of youth with “Pure Heart – Bright Mind – Great Aspiration – Practical Skills”; fostering innovation, integration, mastery of technology, and improvement of foreign language proficiency; and strengthening support activities for students in learning, career development, and entrepreneurship, with special attention to students in difficult circumstances.

Within the framework of the program, the University expressed gratitude to former Youth Union officials across different periods—those who have made dedicated contributions to the development of Youth Union work and youth movements; and commended and awarded outstanding individuals who achieved high prizes in the 2026 “Excellent Youth Union Cadre” Contest, thereby spreading the spirit of learning, training, and dedication among Youth Union members and students.

The Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was not only an occasion to reflect on its proud tradition but also a source of motivation for UTT youth to continue promoting their courage, intellect, and spirit of innovation. Thereby, contributing to the continuous development of the University and actively contributing to the cause of national construction and defense in the new era.
