Four UTT Students Advance to the National Final Round of the MOS World Championship 2026

Following the National Qualifying Round of the MOS World Championship 2026, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) had four outstanding students qualify for the National Final Round. Notably, two UTT students achieved perfect scores of 1000/1000 in the qualifying round.

The MOS World Championship is an annual competition organized by IIG Vietnam Education Organization in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee to identify and honor outstanding talents in Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In 2026, the competition attracted nearly 1,500 contestants from universities, academies, colleges, vocational schools, and high schools nationwide.

Previously, on the morning of April 19, 2026, the University of Transport Technology served as the host venue for the Opening Ceremony and the Northern Regional National Qualifying Round of the competition. Contestants competed in six categories, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for both the 2019 version and Microsoft 365 Apps.

At the end of the National Qualifying Round, the Organizing Committee selected the top 25 contestants in each category to advance to the National Final Round. Among them, four outstanding UTT students qualified, including:

Nguyen Ngoc Tam – Class 73DCTT22 – scored 1000/1000
Vu Thi My Van – Class 76DCTT24 – scored 980/1000
Vu Duc Toan – Class 74DCTT21 – scored 980/1000

This achievement highlights the outstanding performance of UTT students in a nationwide digital skills competition, demonstrating their proficiency in information technology applications, office computing skills, and adaptability to modern learning and working environments.

The achievement of having two students earn perfect scores while the remaining contestants also achieved exceptionally high results further affirms the University’s training quality, digital skills development orientation, and dynamic learning environment in the context of digital transformation and international integration.

According to the plan, the National Final Round of the MOS World Championship 2026 will be held simultaneously across the Northern, Central, and Southern regions on May 10, 2026. The Northern Regional Final Round will continue to take place at the University of Transport Technology, No. 54 Trieu Khuc Street, Thanh Liet Ward, Hanoi.

The National Final Round is an important stage to select the National Champions who will represent Vietnam at the MOS World Championship 2026 World Final in the United States. The achievements of the four UTT students are not only a source of pride for the University but also contribute to spreading the spirit of learning and conquering international skill standards within the student community.
