University of Transport Technology Conducts Field Study at Brigade 170

On the afternoon of March 21, in Hà Tu Ward, Quảng Ninh Province, a delegation from the University of Transport Technology (UTT), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector, visited and conducted a field study at Brigade 170 (Naval Region 1). Colonel Vũ Hữu Kiêm – Deputy Political Commissar of the Region, chaired the reception.

At the working session, Colonel Vũ Hữu Kiêm provided an overview of the development, combat, and growth process of Naval Region 1, as well as the results of implementing military and national defense tasks in recent times.

Overview of the working session

On behalf of the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long expressed his appreciation for the thoughtful and respectful reception by the Command of Naval Region 1, as well as for providing valuable information on the functions, duties, achievements, and accomplishments of the Vietnam People’s Navy in general and Naval Region 1 in particular in safeguarding national sovereignty over seas and islands in the new context.

The University’s delegation conducted field surveys at squadrons and ships of Brigade 170. This activity enabled staff and lecturers to connect theory with practice, especially in technical and technological fields serving the transport sector and national defense.
