UTT Students Make Their Mark at HackAtom 2026 – Affirming Their Competence in an International Arena

At the nuclear technology hackathon “HackAtom 2026,” students from the University of Transport Technology (UTT) made a strong impression by participating with three teams and achieving a place in the Top 11 out of 23 teams—a notable accomplishment at an international academic competition.

The competition was co-organized by Rossotrudnichestvo with the support of Rosatom – the State Atomic Energy Corporation of Russia. HackAtom 2026 aims to identify innovative ideas and solutions applying nuclear technology to real-world contexts, attracting a large number of international students.

Participating in the competition, UTT was represented by three teams:

Within the framework of the competition, the teams proactively conducted research, proposed innovative solutions, developed technology application ideas, and presented and defended their projects before the Jury Panel. With creativity, confidence, and thorough preparation, the UTT teams demonstrated strong professional competence, teamwork skills, and technological thinking, achieving a Top 11 overall ranking.

Beyond being a competition, HackAtom 2026 provided valuable opportunities for students to access advanced nuclear technology, enhance research and presentation skills, and expand international academic exchange.

The achievement at HackAtom 2026 further affirms the image of UTT students as dynamic, creative, confident in international integration, and ready to conquer major academic arenas regionally and globally. It also serves as evidence of the University’s practice-oriented training approach, focusing on comprehensive competency development in the context of deep international integration.
