UTT Leadership Attends the 4th Worldwide Conference of Overseas Vietnamese in Hanoi

On August 21–22, the 4th Worldwide Conference of Overseas Vietnamese and the Forum of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Experts Abroad was held in Hanoi. Representing the University of Transport Technology (UTT) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long – Rector; Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung – Vice Rector; and Dr. Ngo Thi Thanh Huong – Director of the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation.

The Conference was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh along with approximately 600 delegates, including more than 400 overseas Vietnamese from 42 countries and territories; leaders of the Party and State; representatives of ministries, central agencies, socio-political organizations; leaders of provinces and cities; and heads of several Vietnamese representative missions abroad.

The program, taking place from August 21–24, 2024, was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with relevant ministries, agencies, and local authorities. This significant event provided a platform for in-depth discussions among overseas Vietnamese on strategic issues related to national development and matters concerning the global Vietnamese community.

University of Transport Technology Leadership at the Conference

Within the framework of the Conference, several cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between domestic organizations and associations of overseas Vietnamese. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Sơn and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang – Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese. The University of Transport Technology signed two cooperation agreements with KOGI Group Joint Stock Company and IPGROUP – Technology and Intellectual Property Consulting Co., Ltd. The agreements were signed by Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung – Vice Rector of UTT.

University of Transport Technology at the Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony 

Accordingly, the University of Transport Technology and KOGI Group Joint Stock Company will collaborate in the areas of technology research and development, as well as communication and brand development. Specifically, in the field of technology research and development, the two parties agreed on a comprehensive strategic cooperation, including the introduction of each party’s technologies to domestic and international partners for in-depth research and commercialization. Both sides will jointly organize seminars and workshops, and conduct exchanges of experience, knowledge, and professional skills on matters of mutual interest. The University will also cooperate with the company in equipment testing and in implementing joint scientific research projects related to the commercialization and transfer of technology solutions involving water electrolysis for separating H⁺ ions into combustion chambers, aimed at reducing fuel consumption, cooling engines, and eliminating harmful emissions. Regarding cooperation with IPGROUP – Technology and Intellectual Property Consulting Co., Ltd., the two parties will work together in training and scientific research activities related to innovation, intellectual property, and intellectual asset development. Previously, the two sides had jointly organized a seminar entitled “Strategies for Managing and Enhancing the Value of Intellectual Property Assets at Universities in the Era of Industry 4.0”, which attracted the participation of numerous experts and scientist.
