UTT Students Gain Practical Experience at 911 Group and XCMG Vietnam

With the aim of strengthening the linkage between academic training and business practice, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) organized a field trip and experiential learning program for students majoring in Marketing Management (Faculty of Management) at 911 Group and XCMG Vietnam on the same day. The delegation was led by Dr. Nguyễn Hùng Cường, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Management.

The first destination was 911 Group, a Vietnamese enterprise operating in the business and leasing of construction equipment and machinery. During the visit, students were introduced to the company’s history of formation and development, its joint-stock company model under stock code NO1, as well as its strategic expansion into electric taxi passenger transport through 911 Group Future Transportation and Services Joint Stock Company.

Through practical insights into corporate governance, marketing activities, and multi-sector development strategies, students gained a vivid and realistic understanding of how Vietnamese enterprises are adapting and innovating their business models in a period of transformation.

Continuing the program, the student delegation visited XCMG Vietnam in Từ Sơn, Bắc Ninh Province—an affiliate of 911 Group and the official representative of XCMG, one of the world’s leading brands in construction machinery and equipment. At this site, students explored the operational model of a foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprise, including its production processes, management systems, and organization of business and service activities within a modern and professional industrial environment.

Through company tours at two enterprises with distinct operational characteristics, students were able to compare management models between Vietnamese enterprises and FDI companies. This experience helped broaden their professional perspectives and enabled them to better identify the skills and competencies required in the context of international integration.

The field trip and experiential learning program not only enhanced students’ professional awareness and helped bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world business practices, but also contributed to strengthening cooperation between the University and enterprises, paving the way for more effective training, internship, and career orientation activities in the future.
