Towards the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026), the Youth Union – Student Association of the University of Transport Technology (UTT) officially launched a series of extensive movements and activities, creating an environment for Youth Union members and students to demonstrate their competence, intellect, and pioneering spirit in the new era.

1. Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026)

In a solemn and proud atmosphere, the Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was the most symbolic political event within the series of activities.

The ceremony was honored to welcome representatives of the Hanoi Youth Union, the University Board of Management, and members of the Standing Committee of the University Youth Union. The presence of leaders from offices, faculties, and institutes, along with lecturers serving as Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of affiliated Youth Union branches, and a large number of Youth Union members and students, created a meaningful intergenerational connection. Through the ceremony, generations of Youth Union members revisited nearly a century of development under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The activity contributed to fostering patriotism, steadfast revolutionary ideals, and pride in the nation’s glorious traditions. A particularly meaningful highlight was the tribute to former Youth Union officials across different periods. In a warm and connected atmosphere, the Executive Committee of the University Youth Union presented flowers and meaningful gifts to express sincere gratitude to those who have inspired generations.

2. Excellent Youth Union Cadre Contest

Alongside the tribute activities, the ceremony also recognized and awarded outstanding individuals who achieved high results in the 2026 “Excellent Youth Union Cadre” Contest. This was the result of a rigorous training process and continuous efforts by grassroots youth leaders. Their achievements contributed to spreading the spirit of learning, self-improvement, and dedication among all Youth Union members and students, inspiring each individual to define their personal development path in alignment with collective benefits and national sustainable development.

3. “UTT Faculty/Institute Imprint” Contest

Within the peak activity series, the “UTT Faculty/Institute Imprint” Contest became a highlight, attracting enthusiastic participation from seven faculties and institutes. This was not merely an artistic competition but also a platform for units to affirm their identity and distinctive characteristics within the University’s overall development.

With thorough preparation, the participating units delivered impressive performances reflecting the unique characteristics of each discipline. A key component was the design and presentation of wall newspapers, demonstrating in-depth analysis of cultural identity and academic traditions of each unit.

4. “Five-Good Student” Festival at Cluster Level

In the solemn atmosphere of March, the opening activity of the “Five-Good Student” Festival of Cluster No. 2 was the incense offering ceremony at the Memorial Room of President Ho Chi Minh. This important political ritual expressed deep respect and gratitude of the younger generation toward the national leader. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the University leadership, the Vietnam National Union of Students of Hanoi, standing members of student associations from universities and colleges in Cluster No. 2, and outstanding students. This created a unified collective, affirming the strength and scale of the student movement in the capital. The organization of the incense offering ceremony directly at the University’s training facilities enabled students within the cluster to gain a deeper understanding of the traditions and cultural identity of the University of Transport Technology. This sacred space generated a positive source of energy, providing motivation for activities related to consolidating the cluster’s organizational structure as well as exchange and learning activities within the framework of the Festival, thereby affirming the leading position of UTT students within the system of higher education institutions.

- Opening Ceremony of the “Five-Good Student” Festival at Cluster Level: The opening ceremony took place in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere, creating strong motivation for students to strive for this prestigious title. The program not only honored exemplary individuals but also created a practical environment for units within Cluster No. 2 to coordinate and collaborate in student association work and movements, thereby contributing to improving the quality of young human resources for the country.

- Consolidation of the Positions of Cluster Head and Deputy Cluster Head: A strategic organizational content within the Festival was the implementation of procedures to consolidate key leadership positions of Cluster No. 2. The personnel process was conducted in a democratic, transparent, and rigorous manner under the supervision of higher-level Student Association bodies. At the conference, member units demonstrated a high level of consensus and collective intelligence in electing a new Executive Board to lead the movement in the next phase:

  • Cluster Head: University of Transport Technology (UTT)
  • Deputy Cluster Head: National Economics University (NEU)

The combination of the pioneering spirit of the University of Transport Technology and the established position of the National Economics University is expected to create strong collective synergy, enabling the “Five-Good Student” movement to move beyond quantitative indicators toward substantive impact and sustainable value for the student community.

5. Achieving the “Five-Good Student” Criteria through Practical Training

  • Good Ethics: This criterion was implemented through a competition on Marxism–Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought. It served as an important political forum to assess students’ theoretical foundation and understanding of the Party’s guidelines and State policies. Through the competition, students not only strengthened their revolutionary worldview but also shaped an upright and humane lifestyle associated with studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example. The thorough preparation of units reflected a strong sense of self-discipline in cultivating moral qualities among students in the modern era.

  • Good Physical Fitness: This criterion was integrated into the 2026 Youth Union – Student Association skills training program and a series of sports activities. Students were required to complete six assessment components requiring endurance, determination, and teamwork, including sack jumping, standing long jump, tire flipping, tug of war, 4x50m relay running, and obstacle running.

According to official regulations, students who successfully completed at least 4 out of the 6 components were certified as meeting the “Good Physical Fitness” criterion. This serves as clear evidence of their commitment to physical training in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh’s example, building a solid foundation for learning and long-term contribution.

  • Good Volunteerism: As a core component of the “Five-Good Student” movement, the “Good Volunteerism” criterion in 2026 was prominently marked by the “Exchanging Paper for Plants” program. Aimed at reducing paper waste and raising environmental awareness, the activity received enthusiastic participation from students across the cluster. Students achieving a rating of two stars or higher were officially recognized as having completed one day of volunteer activity, contributing to their eligibility for the “Five-Good Student” title at various levels.

6. Cultural Performance Contest of Cluster No. 2

As part of the “Five-Good Student” Festival, the Cultural Performance Contest of Cluster No. 2 became a vibrant artistic highlight, leaving a strong impression on delegates and students. It was not merely a performance stage but a dynamic artistic space where youth creativity was fully expressed. UTT’s role as host further affirmed its organizational capacity and position within the higher education system.

Within the Festival, a Youth Union – Student Association skills training program was also organized with the participation of more than 300 officials and students. Through physical training and teambuilding activities, participants experienced dynamic engagement, strengthening teamwork skills and solidarity. Moments of shared enthusiasm and encouragement reflected the vibrant spirit of the entire cluster.

A diverse system of sports competitions was also organized to promote a healthy lifestyle, unity, and resilience:

7. Expanded Men’s Football Tournament:

Within the framework of the peak activities celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026), the Expanded Men’s Football Tournament was held at the modern football field of the University of Transport Technology. The event served as a large-scale sports festival, bringing together the youthful energy and enthusiasm of students from prestigious educational institutions across the capital.

The tournament this year was honored to welcome the participation of six teams representing major universities and academies, including: the University of Transport Technology (host institution); Trade Union University; Thang Long University; Dai Nam University; Academy of Finance; and Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology.

After a series of intense and competitive matches conducted in the spirit of fair play, the tournament identified a well-deserved champion. With strong team cohesion, modern tactical thinking, and remarkable composure, the team from Trade Union University outperformed their opponents to secure a convincing victory, officially claiming the championship title of the Expanded Men’s Football Tournament.

8. Pickleball Tournament:
In the vibrant spirit of Youth Month 2026 and towards the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026), on March 22, the University of Transport Technology solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Student Pickleball Tournament. The introduction of pickleball—one of the sports gaining significant international attention—into the University-level competition system reflects the dynamism, modernity, and spirit of international integration among UTT students. This is not merely a sports tournament but also a practical solution to diversify youth engagement activities, creating a new physical training environment aligned with contemporary development trends.

9. Chess Tournament:
The Chess Tournament is not merely an intellectual sports competition but also serves as a platform for students to develop their resilience and strategic planning abilities. In a technical and technological environment, systems thinking and forecasting capability are essential competencies. Through each move, Youth Union members and students enhance their concentration, multi-dimensional analytical skills, and decisiveness in addressing complex situations. The tournament created a civilized competitive environment, helping students cultivate integrity, honesty, and a spirit of mutual learning, thereby contributing to building a healthy academic culture.

10. Table Tennis Tournament:

Alongside intellectual sports, the Table Tennis Tournament brought vibrant energy, reflecting the youthfulness and dynamism of UTT students. Table tennis requires a harmonious combination of sharp observation, quick reflexes, and physical agility. It provided students with an opportunity to assess their physical capabilities, thereby promoting the spirit of regular physical training in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh’s example. Precise rallies and intense score chases created a strong sense of connection among Youth Union members across faculties and institutes, contributing to building unity in movements and striving for outstanding achievements in celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

11. E-sports Tournament (Arena of Valor):
Within the framework of the peak activities of Youth Month 2026, the Student E-sports Tournament (Arena of Valor) was organized as a demonstration of the innovation, creativity, and adaptability of the University’s Youth Union and Student Association in keeping pace with modern global trends. Unlike physical sports, e-sports emphasizes situational analysis, strategic thinking, and rapid decision-making.

For students in engineering and technology fields, participation in the tournament provided an opportunity to develop intellectual capacity, planning skills, and approaches to solving complex problems—key competencies of a global digital citizen. With its inherently team-based nature, each match served as a practical lesson in coordination, discipline, and collective responsibility. Players were required to demonstrate effective communication and a clear understanding of team roles to achieve common goals, thereby strengthening teamwork skills and organizational discipline.

The inclusion of e-sports in the competition system celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union represents a strategic approach to guiding students toward a healthy digital lifestyle.

12. Voluntary Blood Donation Program “Heart Connection XXI”:
The program received enthusiastic support and direct participation from a large number of staff, lecturers, and hundreds of Youth Union members and students across the University. The presence of lecturers as pioneers created strong inspiration, affirming the spirit of unity and the noble humanitarian tradition of the University’s academic community.

This activity was not merely a movement but also a vivid demonstration of the spirit of “loving others as oneself”—a core value in Vietnamese culture. With thorough preparation and a strong spirit of volunteerism, the program achieved impressive results, collecting 836 units of blood. These valuable blood units will be delivered to medical facilities, making an important contribution to patient treatment and strengthening the national blood reserve. This figure not only reflects the scale of the movement but also serves as a measure of the enthusiasm and the growing political awareness of students at the University of Transport Technology.

The success of the “Heart Connection XXI” program has further enriched the proud tradition of the University Youth Union, while strongly promoting the image of UTT students as professionally competent, resilient, and compassionate.

The series of activities celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union goes beyond numerical achievements, placing greater emphasis on ideological education and creating a dynamic practical environment for each Youth Union member and student to reflect and grow. With youthful energy and a strong aspiration for creativity, UTT students are determined to achieve outstanding accomplishments, affirming their role as a pioneering force in the sustainable development of the University and the country.
