Conference on Exchange of Student Party Cell Models within Party Organizations under the Hanoi Universities and Colleges Party Committee
On April 1, at the University of Transport Technology (UTT), the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges organized a conference to exchange experiences on student Party cell models within its affiliated Party organizations. Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Sơn – Member of the Hanoi Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, chaired the conference.
Attending the conference were members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Party Committee; Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of grassroots Party organizations; staff members and heads of student affairs offices; secretaries of student Party cells; and representatives of leaders from many universities and colleges in Hanoi. On the side of the University of Transport Technology were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector; Dr. Trần Thanh An – Vice Rector, along with representatives of leaders from units.

Overview of the conference
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Sơn emphasized the significance of developing and expanding student Party cell models in the current context, considering it an important and strategic task in creating sources, fostering, and admitting student members to the Party, thereby contributing to building a contingent of young Party members with strong political will, qualities, and competencies.

Delegates contributing opinions at the conference
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the current status of organization and operation of student Party cells at various institutions; sharing experiences in Party development, management, and Party cell activities; and identifying advantages, difficulties, and challenges in implementation. Many opinions proposed solutions to enhance the effectiveness of student Party cell models in alignment with the specific characteristics of each educational institution.

In addition, the conference served as an opportunity for units to strengthen connections, exchange experiences, and gradually improve the organizational model of student Party cells, aiming to build increasingly strong Party organizations within educational institutions.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Sơn acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and the candid, dedicated contributions of the delegates. He affirmed that each student Party cell model has its own advantages and approaches, which should continue to be studied, reviewed, and appropriately replicated in line with practical conditions.

He also pointed out several limitations that need to be addressed, such as: in some cases, the size of Party cells remains too large, exceeding 150 members, affecting the quality of activities and leadership; delays in transferring Party membership for graduates after leaving the University; and the need to further enhance leadership capacity, combativeness of Party organizations, and the quality of Party members among students.
In the coming time, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Sơn requested that units continue to review and improve student Party cell organizational models toward being streamlined and effective; strengthen Party member management; and proactively and flexibly implement solutions suitable to the characteristics of each institution, thereby improving the quality of Party building work within the Hanoi universities and colleges sector.
