Functions and Duties of the Office of Graduate Training

1. Functions

The Office of Graduate Training advises and assists the Rector in developing strategies for postgraduate education; organizing and managing postgraduate training activities in accordance with current regulations; and overseeing joint postgraduate training programs at both domestic and international levels.

2. Duties

a) Development and organization of postgraduate training

b) Propose and coordinate with academic units in developing plans to open new postgraduate programs in accordance with the University’s development orientation, societal needs, and regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;

c) Develop admission plans, study plans, and annual training plans; organize admissions, enrollment, and training activities; monitor progress and manage the quality of postgraduate training in accordance with current regulations;

d) Take the lead in developing plans, managing the compilation, appraisal, acceptance, and settlement of textbooks, teaching materials, reference books, and specialized materials for postgraduate training programs;

e) Organize examinations for course completion; coordinate with faculties in assigning thesis topics and establishing thesis assessment committees; organize graduation recognition; submit to the Rector decisions on admission deferment, suspension, termination of study, extension of study duration, and other academic matters in accordance with regulations;

f) Manage and archive records; issue degrees, certificates, and academic transcripts in accordance with regulations;

g) Propose, organize, and manage joint training programs domestically and internationally;

h) Draft and submit to the Rector for approval regulatory documents related to postgraduate training;

i) Organize conferences, seminars, and academic activities related to postgraduate education;

j) Propose conditions necessary for teaching, learning, and research activities of postgraduate learners; propose policies on the use of funding sources for postgraduate education;

k) Monitor and compile teaching workload data of lecturers involved in postgraduate training for payment and annual performance evaluation;

l) Perform other duties as assigned by the Rector.
