UTT Holds Meeting with Lao Students on the Occasion of Bunpimay New Year 2026
On the morning of April 15, 2026, at the meeting room of the Phu Tho Campus, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) organized a gathering for Lao students currently studying at the University on the occasion of Bunpimay – the traditional New Year festival and the most important celebration of the Lao people.
Attending the meeting were Dr. Vương Văn Sơn – Head of the Phu Tho Campus, representatives from the University’s Academic Affairs Office, and all Lao students studying at UTT.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Dr. Vương Văn Sơn extended his best New Year wishes to the Lao students, wishing them a joyful and happy Bunpimay festival and continued success in their studies and personal development. He also acknowledged and highly appreciated their serious learning attitude and continuous efforts over the past time.

On behalf of the Lao students, a representative expressed sincere gratitude to the University’s Board of Management, lecturers, and staff for their continuous care and support in both academic and daily life. The meeting not only helped ease homesickness during the traditional New Year but also strengthened the sense of connection and belonging within the UTT learning environment.

Bunpimay, the traditional Lao New Year, is celebrated annually in mid-April and symbolizes wishes for peace, luck, and prosperity in the coming year. Organizing meetings and extending New Year greetings to Lao students has become a meaningful annual tradition of the University of Transport Technology, contributing to strengthening the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
The gathering concluded in a joyful and cozy atmosphere, leaving positive impressions and further affirming the University’s friendly, inclusive, and human-centered educational environment.
