I. GENERAL INTRODUCTION

           The undergraduate program in Construction Economics is developed with an application-oriented approach, aiming to train bachelors in Construction Economics with comprehensive professional knowledge, solid occupational skills, and strong professional ethics to meet the demands of the construction investment sector in the context of socio-economic development and digital transformation. The program equips learners with a solid foundation in social sciences, basic sciences, economics, management, and information technology, while providing fundamental and advanced knowledge in construction investment economics, construction enterprise finance, construction-related laws and regulations, construction project management, bidding and procurement, norms and unit pricing, construction cost estimation and management, as well as the organization and management of construction business operations.

In addition to specialized knowledge, the program emphasizes the development of essential professional skills such as analyzing the economic and financial efficiency of construction projects and enterprises; preparing, appraising, and managing construction investment projects; quantity take-off, cost estimating, total investment calculation, and preparation of bidding and tendering documents; cost, schedule, and investment efficiency management; effective use of industry-specific software; independent and teamwork skills; communication, consultancy, and negotiation skills in professional practice; and the application of information technology and foreign languages. Learners are also trained to develop a professional working style, discipline, professional ethics, responsibility, and lifelong learning and innovative capabilities to adapt to diverse working environments in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Upon graduation, graduates of the Construction Economics program may undertake positions such as cost engineers, financial and economic specialists, and bidding and cost management officers at construction enterprises and construction investment consultancy firms; staff at construction project management units; specialists at state management agencies in the construction sector; or researchers and lecturers at educational institutions and research institutes related to construction economics. Graduates are also well prepared to pursue postgraduate studies in construction economics, construction management, and related fields.

The total volume of the entire program is 135 credits, not including Physical Education (04 credits) and National Defense and Security Education (09 credits).
