UTT Spring Gathering for the Year of the Fire Horse 2026: A New Beginning – Renewed Momentum – New Actions

In the joyful atmosphere of the early days of spring, on the morning of February 26, 2026 (the 10th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Fire Horse), University of Transport Technology held the Spring Gathering for the Year of the Fire Horse 2026. This was not only a traditional annual activity but also a milestone marking the beginning of a new journey — where confidence is reinforced, responsibility is awakened, and determination for innovation is widely spread.

Attending the gathering were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Ngọc Khiêm – Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector; the Vice Rectors; representatives of the leadership of affiliated units; and all lecturers, officials, and employees of the University. The program was conducted both in person and online across three campuses: Hà Nội, Phú Thọ, and Thái Nguyên.

The event was held in a solemn, warm atmosphere imbued with the spirit of spring. Joyful musical performances and traditional lion and dragon dances enlivened the program, conveying wishes for a smooth, favorable, and successful new year.

At the gathering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector of the University – extended New Year greetings to all officials, lecturers, and students. In his opening message of the year, he emphasized that 2026 marks a continued phase of implementing strategic orientations, improving training quality, promoting scientific research, accelerating digital transformation, and building a professional, disciplined, and human-centered working environment. Spring, therefore, is not only the beginning of a new year but also the starting point for new thinking, new approaches, and a spirit of decisive action.

A special highlight of the program was the traditional New Year lucky money activity presented by the Board of Management to students. The red envelopes personally handed to outstanding students symbolized not only good fortune at the beginning of the year but also the care, recognition, and trust that the University places in the younger generation of UTT. The moment when the Board of Management directly extended greetings, shook hands, and presented lucky envelopes created a close and warm atmosphere; the bright smiles of students reflected the strong bond between the University leadership and learners. This was not only a meaningful cultural tradition at the beginning of the year but also a source of encouragement, motivating students to enter the new academic year with greater determination and clearer goals.

In addition, the launching ceremony of the Tree-Planting Festival themed “Forever Grateful to President Hồ Chí Minh” was held, demonstrating the University’s responsibility toward the environment and the community, while reaffirming its orientation toward sustainable development.

Previously, at the Phú Thọ and Thái Nguyên campuses, the early spring gatherings were also held in a solemn and warm atmosphere. The University’s Board of Management directly extended New Year greetings to lecturers, officials, and employees at each campus, while sharing key orientations and major tasks for 2026. Spring performances, early-year exchanges, and lucky money activities created an enthusiastic atmosphere, spreading the spirit of solidarity and determination to successfully accomplish the set objectives from the very first days of the new year.
